Former MTV star Lilah Parsons has taken her career in a different direction after returning to school.
Lilah – who is famous for appearing on MTV as well as a presenter on Capital radio – worked as a model, having been scouted since she was 20, before going into broadcasting.
She worked for major luxury brands, including Chanel and Vivienne Westwood, before starting to present several shows on MTV UK, such as MTV Essentials, MTV Asks, and MTV Top 20 This Week.
Now 36 years old, the star has a master’s degree in Television Journalism, which he completed in June at City, University of London.
Leaving her MTV days behind but still putting her skills to good use, she studied news reporting, working for the BBC.
On Instagram, where she has 62,000 followers, Lilah shared several snaps this week from her work, including posing outside Downing Street and at the BBC Studios.
‘Still pinching me being a broadcast journalist,’ she wrote in the caption.
‘Going to university & being a full-time student in my thirties has felt a bit crazy at times but also incredibly freeing!
‘It reminds me that I love to learn and can change my path 🤍’
In the comments, Lilah was flooded with support from fans, as annieo1357 wrote: ‘So cool Lilah, it’s not too late to change course xxx’
‘Welcome to the club & bbc! I was a child tv presenter… retrained at 27- has not been seen again’, commented amygarciaofficialuk, the main anchor of Look North.
Others hailed him as an ‘example’ that anyone can achieve their dreams and praised him for being ‘courageous’ in taking the leap.
Lilah has a lot of industry experience under her belt.
In 2016, she was confirmed to join former Union J star George Shelley and DJ Dave Berry on the Capital Breakfast show, replacing Lisa Snowdon.
This also led to her hosting the Brit Awards red carpet for two consecutive years, interviewing stars such as Ed Sheeran, Katy Perry, Dua Lipa, and more.
In 2017, Lila began covering events on Radio Jantung, a role she left in 2021.
Since May this year, Lilah has been working freelance in broadcast journalism for BBC News.
As for her personal life, Lilah has a rather interesting family, as she is the daughter of Sir John Christopher Parsons, KCVO and The Hon. Lady Parsons (formerly The Hon. Anne Constance Manningham-Buller).
She grew up studying fashion in London before she was scouted by an agency at a party.
Her Instagram tends to be devoid of mentions of her romance or dating history, as she regularly shares snaps from DJ gigs, travels, and work events.
However, she previously dated actor-turned-controversial-political-figure Laurence Fox, and was also linked to George when they worked together on Capital.
The brunette beauty split from the former TV star in 2018, having lost it due to conflicting schedules.
