The month of Black Friday is finally here, and several retailers have started their Black Friday 2024 sales. Tech and gaming are hot properties on Black Friday, and the Xbox deals are sure to be epic (if last year is anything to go by).
While Black Friday doesn’t officially start until Friday 29 November, the likes of Argos, John Lewis and AO have launched some savings into the air. Amazon has also announced that it will start reducing prices on November 21st and Nintendo has also released a Nintendo Switch bundle offer.
Xbox is also kicking off its Black Friday sale this week, with thousands of games slashed. If you’re waiting to pick up an Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S or even some new Xbox accessories or Xbox games this Black Friday, I’ve spotted the best early discounts and savings. Here’s everything you need to know about Black Friday Xbox deals, and when they’ll all happen.
The best Xbox deals to buy right now
The Xbox Series X is the most powerful gaming console Microsoft has ever made. Big and cuboid but not silent, it matches the performance of the highest gaming PC – it loads games quickly and opens menus in seconds. Right now, you can save £30 on the console at Amazon.
The Xbox Series S is down to its lowest price in the Black Friday sale. Smaller and less powerful than the Xbox Series X, the budget-friendly console will still play all the same games as its more advanced sibling, so you won’t be disappointed. There’s £50 off at Argos.
Xbox wireless controller: Was £54.99, now £38.99, Amazon.co.uk
Microsoft’s Black Friday sale includes $16 off the official Xbox controller, which is also one of the best controllers for PC gaming. Essential for local multiplayer gaming, the wireless controller is just £38.99.
Save £40 on a certified refurbished Xbox console: From £169.99, Microsoft.com
The certified upgrade program is an easy way to save bundles on Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S, and now Microsoft is offering an extra £40 off. Every refurbished Xbox is screened, repaired, tested and cleaned to ensure it’s like new, before being packed with original accessories and manuals. Unlike buying used, you get a shiny new 12-month warranty to cover any issues.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, three-month subscription: Was £32.99, now £22.99, Cdkeys.com
Launched back in 2017, Game Pass is Xbox’s answer to Netflix. The service offers players a library of hundreds of games, which they can download and play for free, including new releases as they come out, such as Call of duty: Black Ops 6. You get access to online multiplayer, EA Play and virtual games on PC. A three-month subscription now has £10 on CD Keys.
‘EA Sports FC 25’, Xbox Series X: Was £66.42, now £30.05, Amazon.co.uk
Save almost 50 percent on FC 25 for Xbox Series X, the game that has had the biggest shakeup for the FIFA franchise in years. It’s not just the same game with players wearing new kit. There are new game modes, new FC IQ system, new player roles, better tactical options and new game mechanics. If you haven’t laced up your boots, now is the time.
Seagate 2TB external hard drive: Was £80.54, now £64.99, Amazon.co.uk
Here’s a 20 percent savings on Seagate’s 2TB external hard drive for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. The drive expands your console’s storage so you don’t have to delete games to make room for new games, and it’s fast enough to play. the game is installed directly from. Unlike the official storage expansion card (£284, Argos.co.uk), which sits neatly inside the console, this drive sits beside it. It is also cheaper.
Razer Blackshark V2 Pro gaming headset: Was £199.99, now £179, Amazon.co.uk
If you’re looking for a low-latency gaming headset for your Xbox, our tech writer Steve’s pick is the Razer Blackshark V2 Pro, which is currently £20 off on Amazon. “This headset looks and sounds amazing, is comfortable to wear for long play sessions and is set up for gaming right out of the box,” he said in his review. “The balanced soundstage and emphasis on bass frequencies help you pick out important aural cues like steps and sound reloading, while the companion software gives you complete freedom to tweak the EQ to your preference.”
What to expect from this Xbox Black Friday 2024 deal
I expect to see lots of new Xbox bundles at discounted prices this Black Friday. Last year, Xbox gave away up to £100 off Xbox Series X and Series S bundles, as well as up to 20 per cent off Xbox wireless controllers. Games also get big price cuts, with Xbox slashing up to 75 percent on first-party Microsoft titles.
However, the official Xbox store isn’t the only place you can find discounts. Amazon had some incredible savings on last year’s Xbox Series X.
The retailer has slashed the price of the console by £120, down to just £359 – its lowest ever price. Amazon is also releasing an Xbox Series X bundle deal Diablo 4 for just £389, and other bundles with it Forza Horizon 5 and premium edition of Starfield only £454.98 – £145 off.
Microsoft also launched a. cheaper, all-digital new Xbox Series X earlier this summer in a white robot with 1TB of storage, as well as a new white robot Xbox Series S. I hope that these two consoles will be sold, given that they’re not exactly new machines , only fresh color.
