Brazil’s socialist regime has indicted former president Jair Bolsonaro on political charges allegedly aimed at undermining the country’s conservative movement.
After a two-year investigation, federal police confirmed on Thursday that they had sent a 700-page indictment to Bolsonaro and 35 of his allies for what they called a coordinated effort to “violently destroy the constitutional state.”
The police said in a statement that they “discovered the existence of a criminal organization that acted in a coordinated manner in 2022 in an attempt to keep the president of the republic in power.”
The charges will now be reviewed by the Supreme Court and Judge Alexandre de Moraes, who was previously responsible for banning the X platform across the country with 200 million people.
Bolsonaro responded to the accusations in a post on the X platform. He wrote:
• Jair Bolsonaro spoke after being charged by the Federal Police (PF) for allegedly participating in planning a coup after the victory of Lula in 2022. In a telephone conversation with Paulo Cappelli’s column, the former president focused his criticism on Minister Alexandre. de Moraes, who oversees the case at the Federal Supreme Court (STF).
•”Minister Alexandre de Moraes conducted the entire investigation, set up testimony, detained without charge, participated in evidence fishing, and had a very creative advisory team. He did everything that was not allowed,” criticized Bolsonaro.
• “We have to see what is in this PF indictment. I will wait for a lawyer. This will definitely go to the Attorney General’s Office. The war begins in the PGR. I do not expect anything from the team that uses creativity to indict me,” he said the former president said.
• Jair Bolsonaro and 36 others were charged by the Federal Police on Thursday (21/11) for allegedly participating in planning a coup. On Wednesday, the PF carried out an operation that arrested six military personnel accused of plotting the assassination of President Lula and Minister Alexandre de Moraes.
•PF stated that one of the military personnel approached Moraes’ house with the intention of arresting the judge.
•Bolsonaro’s reference to the term “creativity” is a reference to a message from Airton Vieira, judicial advisor in Moraes’ office, to Eduardo Tagliaferro, then head of the Office of Special Counsel to Combat Disinformation at the Superior Electoral Court.

The political persecution of the former president is similar to what happened in the United States against Donald Trump and his supporters, including raiding his home.
And, as The Gateway Pundit reported extensively at the time, Brazil’s 2022 presidential election was also marred by evidence of widespread voter fraud and the use of voting machines to hand victory to socialist candidate Lula Inacio da Silva.

Since being removed from office in 2023, Bolsonaro has come under fierce political attack.
Last year, he was banned from political office for eight years after protesting, claiming that electronic ballots used in elections were vulnerable to hacking and manipulation. He is now seeking to overturn the verdict.
While the future may be uncertain for Bolsonaro, it is clear that his political movement remains strong.
