The feud between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton has been going on for years.
When the world first learned of Kate’s cancer diagnosis earlier this year, there were hopes that she and Meghan would reconcile and focus on family unity.
But for now, it looks like reconciliation is still impossible.
Reports that Meghan has reached out to Kate during her health battle have been confirmed.
But insiders say the gesture doesn’t bring the dueling royals any closer to burying the hatchet.
Meghan Markle-Kate Middleton Feud Shows No Signs of Letting Go, Experts Warn
“Meghan Markle is said to have regrets. Well, one would hope,” royal expert Hilary Fordwich told Fox News this week.
“It’s just spreading that they don’t want bad blood. Of course, they want and need reconciliation,” Fordwich said.
“(But) Meghan Markle has a long way to go for Kate to see reconciliation for the royal family or the public.
Needless to say, it seems Fordwich isn’t optimistic about Meghan’s chances of winning Kate’s favor.
The Duel Between Princesses Continues
And an anonymous insider echoed Fordwich’s comments in a recent interview with In Touch.
“He wants to reconcile with Kate. He doesn’t want any bad blood between them,” the source said.
“Meghan’s friends say she regrets what happened and that she never meant any harm to Kate. Although she should have known she could have done things differently.
“Meghan has gone out of her way to show her concern for Kate at this difficult time.”
There are different accounts of exactly when the feud between Kate and Meghan began.
But those closest to the situation agree that the incident took place in the week before Meghan’s wedding to Prince Harry.
That’s when Kate and Meghan clashed over the preparations, including, famously, the dresses the flower girls would wear.
Is There Hope For Peace?
“Even before they had a famous, tearful row about the flowery dress at Harry and Meghan’s wedding, the relationship between the two princesses was frosty,” biographer King Charles Christopher Andersen told Fox News.
Andersen went on to say that Meghan’s Oprah interview and Harry’s memoir were the last straw for Kate.
“After Megxit, Kate is doing what she can to bring her brothers Prince Harry and Prince William back together,” he said.
“But it proved impossible that the Sussexes let the royal family down during the Oprah interview and then in Harry’s blistering memoir. spare.”
So the battle between Meghan and Kate shows no signs of letting up.
But we’re sure Meg still wishes Kate all the best as she battles cancer.
