Waka Flocka Responds To Canceled Show
For context, Waka Flocka was scheduled for the DC meetings on November 8th, but ended up canceling. Lax Wine and Spirits, the location of the event, apparently canceled due to political views. The company posted and later deleted a statement on Instagram that the local community asked Waka to stay away because of his political stance.
“I’m not a big political or music person, and I really don’t understand Waka Flocka Flame’s views and don’t share his views either! My community has spoken and tomorrow’s show is canceled. Lax Wine and Spirits wrote.
Shortly after, Waka hopped on X to express his frustration, calling the shutdown a hit against “freedom of speech.”
“Imagine living in a country built on free speech to finally realize freedom of speech is only given to those who don’t fight the system…speech…my decision for who I vote for is my decision…you talk about freedom?” Write Waka.
The ‘No Hands’ rapper went on to explain that he feels the people pushing for the cancellation of the show are trying to make him feel guilty for having their own views.
“One of our meet and greets in DC was canceled today because of some people’s opinion… because they bullied a liquor store into canceling their shit… and then played it like I did something wrong for having an opinion… freedom?”

Wow, chili! The Roommates went after Waka after his statement in the comments section of The Shade Room, with many supporting the show’s cancellation. Some reactions suggest that people have the right not to support him based on their views.

Waka Claps Back After Claims Suggest He Didn’t Vote
Waka Flocka has faced political backlash before. On November 5, during the presidential election, social media users revealed receipts showing that they never voted – despite supporting Donald Trump. The user, @LadyJMillz, shared an image from didmyfriendsvote.org that listed the name of Waka’s governor, Juaquin Malphurs, without a vote record.
“Well, this is not interesting! You’ve registered but never voted, including Rotting Sweet Potatoes before. Get in the booth or stfu,” @LadyJMillz wrote.
Waka quickly echoes X, telling him and the others not to worry about their votes, saying he knows we’re all “second-class citizens.”
“Always worry if I don’t voteā¦ You all get mad because I know we are second class citizensā¦. Idgaf but I care who ‘n… my voice is bigger than my vote.. no punking me!!! Fake Bully,” replied Waka.
