President-elect Donald Trump is reportedly considering Kash Patel, a staunch MAGA loyalist, for the role of FBI Deputy Director.
This comes amid rumors that Mike Rogers, a former Republican NEVER-Trumper US congressman from Michigan and former FBI special agent, is being floated as a contender for FBI Director – a choice that has drawn pushback from Trump’s conservative supporters.
The current director of the FBI, Christopher Wray, is expected to be replaced as President-elect Donald Trump and the team is interviewing candidates who align more closely with his vision for the agency.
Vice President-elect JD Vance announced in a now-deleted post on X that he missed a Senate vote on one of President Joe Biden’s judicial nominees because he met with former President Trump to discuss filling important government positions, including the role of FBI Director. .
“I tend to think it’s more important to get an FBI director who will dismantle the deep state than Republicans to lose the vote 49-46 rather than 49-45. But that’s just me,” Vance wrote.
High on the list of potential replacements are figures such as Kash Patel, a former Trump administration aide; Mike Rogers, former Republican Representative and former FBI agent; and Ken Paxton, the current Texas Attorney General, according to Newsweek.
However, the latest report from left-leaning CNN suggests that Trump is considering nominating Mike Rogers as FBI Director and Kash Patel as FBI Deputy Director.
A far-left news outlet reports:
Trump has considered one potential option: naming Mike Rogers, a former FBI special agent and ex-Michigan congressman who just lost a Senate race, as FBI director, while Kash Patel, a controversial MAGA loyalist, as deputy FBI director, according to some familiar with his thinking. Trump.
The plan could appease Senate Republicans concerned about Trump’s plans to disrupt the FBI — while also appeasing the already frustrated MAGA orbit about why more of its allies aren’t being placed in top jobs, sources told CNN.
Former Trump FBI deputy director and CNN senior law enforcement analyst Andrew McCabe said on Friday that Rogers would be a “totally reasonable, logical choice” to nominate to lead the agency, pointing to his knowledge of the intelligence community and his experience in the FBI. But McCabe warned against strengthening Patel, saying on CNN’s “Source” that “no part of the FBI’s mission is safe with Kash Patel in a leadership position at the FBI. And certainly not in the role of deputy director.”
“It’s unthinkable that an outsider with no experience in the organization, no understanding of the job and the scope of authority that is there can do it adequately,” said McCabe, who was fired by Trump before retiring in 2018.
As his advisers know best, nothing is final with Trump until he delivers it in his own words on Social Truth.
The MAGA base, which has played a key role in Trump’s political resurgence, has made it clear that it sees Mike Rogers as part of the establishment—and an inappropriate choice to lead the FBI.
Trump confidant Roger Stone strongly opposes the idea of appointing Rogers, stating, “The fact that former corrupt FBI official Andrew McCabe for Mike Rogers for FBI Director tells exactly why Donald Trump should not appoint Rogers. Only Kash Patel will clean house in the corrupt FBI ,” Stone wrote.

Catturd, a prolific MAGA influencer, stated, “Make no mistake about it – if deep-state POS Mike Rogers (Christopher Wray 2.0) gets a job in the Trump administration, I will go ballistic. If that happens, everything we’ve worked hard for and sacrificed for will be gone.” .

Jesse Kelly, a conservative radio host, warned, “Putting Mike Rogers at the head of the FBI will not be bad. It will be catastrophic. Cheka must be cleaned by the next director, and Mike Rogers will consider his role as protecting.”
The Hodgetwins, prominent conservative commentators, stated, “If Trump picks Mike Rogers, we’re screwed and our country will still be controlled by the deep state. If Trump picks Kash Patel, then we’ll have real accountability and our country will recover.”
As TGP investigative reporter Patty McMurray reported earlier, this is not the first time Rogers has been considered for the top position at the FBI. In 2017, President Trump considered hiring Mike Rogers to replace disgraced and fired FBI Director James Comey.
Instead of choosing anti-Trump Rogers, he chose Christopher Wray, another Trump-hater. At the time, Rogers was endorsed by the FBI Agents Association.
In 2020, Rogers mocked President Trump for questioning the election results.
“By attempting to use the trappings of the Oval Office to influence state officials, he violates the norms of behavior and sets a dangerous precedent for the future – not only here, but internationally. American democracy must be more than one person or one party, and now the president must honor the office by acting,” Rogers wrote in an op-ed on Detroit News.
He continued, “The reality for Trump is he lost the election, and not just in Michigan. The 2020 election may be the most watched in history.
Recently, shocking comments by Rogers resurfaced, showing his loyalty to the security state.
This is Mike Rogers joking about having Eric Snowden killed for exposing deep state operations.
Fmr. CIA Director Michael Hayden says he is considering putting Edward Snowden on the kill list.

So Rogers defends warrantless surveillance from America.
Mike Rogers is the strongest champion in the deep state. He would be an unforgivable choice for FBI Director.

I’m at a loss for words that Mike Rogers is even being considered as FBI Director.
