Jesse James‘his wife Bonnie Rotten has reportedly filed for divorce – and the estranged couple are both seeking a temporary restraining order against each other.
TMZ reported on Friday, November 22, that James, 55, filed for restraining order on Wednesday, November 20, in response to Rotten’s divorce filing and his own temporary restraining request.
Founder of West Coast Choppers – who was previously married to Sandra Bullock – and his estranged wife both accused each other of domestic abuse in their respective court filings, according to TMZ.
The couple married in June 2022 and welcomed a son, Bishop, in June 2023.
The former Rotten adult film star – real name Alaina Hicks – told TMZ that James made the abuse allegations against her in response to her filing for divorce as “part of an ongoing effort to deceive and burn me.”
“For the safety and well-being of our child, I will not participate in the trial of this matter in the press. I trust the legal process to deal with the matter appropriately and respectfully request privacy during this time,” he added.
In a court filing Wednesday, James claimed that Rotten once tried to assault him and broke his finger, TMZ reports. On another occasion, she said he made a hole in her neck with a fingernail. He also claimed that Rotten once kicked him from behind, breaking his wrist and dislocating his thumb, after a heated argument.
According to TMZ, James asked the court to keep Rotten 100 feet away from him and Bishop until a child custody hearing is held.
For her part, Rotten said in her request to order restraining that James had gotten physical with her during the relationship, including once slapping her in the face. She also accused him of stabbing her in the throat on another occasion.
Rotten previously filed for divorce from James twice in December 2022, which she documented via Instagram at the time. The pair appear to have reconciled, however.
“Last week has been a terrible week on all accounts… I made the mistake of posting personal business between my wife and I on social media,” Rotten wrote via Instagram at the time.
“Yes, I filed for divorce … the next day I filed for divorce,” Rotten shared. “I love Jesse so much and I’m so hurt by what I saw when I was on the phone. To defend him and the reason I came back home is because he didn’t say anything inappropriate.
He continued: “He doesn’t talk about ‘hanging out or meeting anyone.’ That’s why I’m here to make a marriage. Everything is blown out of proportion it is more difficult to have a healthy pregnancy.
Two days after rescinding the initial divorce filing, she filed for divorce again.
James’ relationship with Rotten marks his fifth marriage. He was previously married to Karla James from 1991 to 2002, Janine Lindemulder from 2002 to 2004, Bullock from 2005 to 2010, and Alexis DeJoria from 2013 to 2020. In the middle of the divorce from Bullock, James publicly admitted cheating on The Blind Side star.
