Spelling Tori reacting to the death of a longtime friend and Beverly Hills, 90210 costars, Shannen Doherty.
Spelling, 51, took to social media on Sunday, July 14, to show that she is still processing the news. Doherty died at the age of 53 on Saturday, July 13, after a long battle with cancer.
“I don’t have any words yet,” Ejaan said in an Instagram Story that featured a selfie of Doherty with Ejaan resting her head on her friend’s shoulder. “But WE know and that’s what matters.”
Spelling, who portrayed Donna Martin in the 1990s TV series alongside Doherty, who played Brenda Walsh, also included four and a half rows of broken heart emojis in the post.
The top row of broken hearts includes a splash of gold glitter.
Doherty Publications Leslie Sloane toward Us Weekly in the statement there is that Charm alum has passed away.
“It is with a heavy heart that I confirm the death of actress Shannen Doherty. On Saturday, July 13, she succumbed to cancer after years of fighting the disease,” the statement said. “Daughter, sister, aunt and devoted friend surrounded by loved ones as well as dog, Bowie. The family requests privacy at this time to grieve in peace.
Spelling Reaction follows a friend 90210 costar Jennie GarthTribute to Doherty, who was initially diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer in 2015.
“I’m still processing the grief of losing my longtime friend Shannen,” Garth, 52, wrote via Instagram along with two photos of the woman on the set of the TV series. “The woman I often talk to is one of the strongest people I know. Our connection is real and honest. We often fight, but nothing reflects the truth of our relationship, which is built on mutual respect and admiration.
Garth, who portrayed Kelly Taylor on the show, continued: “She was brave, passionate, determined and very loving and generous. I will miss her and will always cherish her in my heart and in my memories. My heart goes out to her family and to Bowie.
Doherty worked on the show from 1990 to 1994 and many other costars have also sent their condolences.
“Surprised and sad to hear about the passing of my friend Shannen,” Doherty’s castmate Jason Priestley, who plays Brandon Walsh’s brother, said via Instagram on Friday. “She was a force of nature and I will miss her. Sending love and light to her family in this dark time.
Brian Austin Greenwho portrays David Silver, also wrote via social media: “Shan. My brother … you love me through everything. You are a big part of my understanding of love. I will miss you more than I know how to process now. Thank you for the gift you.”
Gabrielle Carteriswho portrays Andrea Zuckerman, also wrote, “Too young – so sad. I hope you RIP Shannen. I know Luke is there with open arms to love you.

Doherty announced her diagnosis in 2017, after years of remission. Years later, he told me the cancer had spread to his bones.
“I don’t want to die,” Doherty said people in November 2023. “I’m not done with life. I’m not done with love. I’m not done with creating. I’m not done with hoping to change for the better.
