13:14 PT — TMZ has confirmed US Secret Service agents opened fire after seeing a man with a firearm near Trump’s golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida, while the Republican presidential candidate was playing golf Sunday. No injuries were reported. The man fled in an SUV and was later apprehended in a nearby county by local law enforcement, the official said.

Hannity said the two were on the fifth hole when the shot went out. He said the Secret Service returned fire to where they heard the shots. He said Trump and Witkoff told the Secret Service they found an AK-47 at the scene and that the suspect was identified and pursued by local law enforcement — it’s unclear if they arrested the suspect.
SH said it’s still unclear if the shooter shot Trump or if the shooter just fired a weapon near where Trump was playing golf.

12:37 PT — Joe Biden and Kamala Harris has been informed of the shooting, according to the Daily Mail which cited the White House statement.
Safe Donald Trump after the campaign said gunshots were fired near him … marking the second shooting scare of the summer for the Republican candidate.
The former POTUS’s campaign team released a statement just minutes ago … assuring 45 people were safe after shots rang out “nearby.”
Her communications director, Steven Cheungadd campaign has no further details at this time.
Political reporter Meredith McGraw said several shots were fired at the Trump National Golf Club in West Palm Beach today – where DJT was reportedly playing a round of golf.

Of course, this take came about two months after a sniper shot at former president during a rally in Pennsylvania … killing two people and striking Trump in the ear.
