Twins will always be twins.
College basketball stars and social media influencers Haley and Hanna Cavinder have signed a three-year footwear and apparel endorsement deal with Under Armour.
“TWO TYPES. Welcome to sqUAd @haleycavinder & @hanna.cavinder,” wrote Under Armor on social media.
The twins have a NIL deal with Under Armor through 2022, but their relationship has taken the next step.
“Under Armor gave us a platform to continue our journey to inspire the next generation,” the Cavinder twins wrote on Instagram. “Whether participating in the latest campaign, trying out the latest gear or connecting with other athletes in the Under Armor community, this is a dream partnership with opportunities to push the limits and inspire others to do the same.”
The 23-year-old has become the face of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL), a form of student-athlete compensation launched on July 1, 2021, through several brand offers, including Slate Milk, Boost Mobile, Champs Sports. , WWE, Intuit Turbo Tax, PSD Underwear and Raising Cane’s.
She is also the founder of Hustle Beauty, a fitness cosmetics brand.
The duo began posting on TikTok in 2020 during the COVID pandemic and quickly gained notoriety for their basketball skills and exercise routines, gaining more than 4.5 million followers.
After three seasons with the Fresno State women’s basketball team from 2019-22, she transferred to the University of Miami together for the 2022-23 season, sharing daily content on healthy lifestyle habits with her followers.
Haley, the starter, averaged 12.2 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists for the Hurricanes, while Hanna, the reserve, averaged 3.8 points per game.
The duo helped Miami reach the Elite Eight in 2023 for the first time in program history.
Haley, who is dating the Cowboys’ Jake Ferguson, announced in October 2023 that he was returning to basketball and announced in November that he plans to transfer to TCU for the 2024-25 season.
However, Hanna needs some time off.
“When you’re in this position with social media, it’s all there,” Hanna said at the On3 Elite Series. “Obviously there were more eyes, and I didn’t get a lot of minutes.”
That plan didn’t last.
The duo decided they would meet again on the court after Hanna announced she was coming out of retirement to play her fifth year at Miami, and Haley announced she was joining him.
“Because of the news yesterday that my sister is returning to play ball at Miami and after careful consideration and thought, I have decided to return to the University of Miami and play with Hanna for my final and 5th year,” Haley said on Instagram at the time.
“Nothing is more important than my family and the bond I have with my Twins. Given the opportunity to play together again, it’s something I can’t pass up. I’m excited for the upcoming season and can’t wait to play at the U.”
Seemingly inseparable, the twins walked together in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Runway Show at the W South Beach during Miami Swim Week.
She rocked a blue and orange bikini during the big show, which featured other Sports Illustrated Swimsuit models such as Jena Sims, wife of golfer Brooks Koepka.
Known as the “queens of the NIL,” Haley and Hanna have demonstrated their brand-building impact as college athletes.
It was reported last June that the brothers had received $2 million from the NIL offer.
