Tech stocks continued to sell off this week, as investors dumped more megacap tech names on Thursday.
The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite lost 0.7% Thursday after suffering its worst session since 2022 the previous day.
Chip stocks caused much volatility, falling on Wednesday amid reports of tougher export bans from U.S. Investor favorite Nvidia and U.S.-listed Taiwan Semiconductor fell more than 6% and nearly 8% during the session.
Fears of growing geopolitical tensions following comments from former US President Donald Trump have heightened concerns.
It’s also a big week for earnings, too Netflix reported earnings after the bell beat estimates. The stock was down less than 1% in after-hours trading.
