Former pro Cheryl Burke not on the same page as the judge Dance With The Stars semifinals.
“I would say I don’t give 10s, not even close, because nobody deserves it,” Burke, 40, said on the Wednesday, November 20, episode of the “Sex, Lies and Spray Tans” podcast. “And I’m not negative or bitter, that’s just what I saw. Having been a part of the show, especially the semifinals, there’s always something very special about the semifinals, because people are fighting and giving everything they have because it’s one of the last dances or not know that it is.
He continued: “But he left it all on the dance floor, and I didn’t feel like tonight was any exception Ilona (Maher). So it’s a bit annoying, to be honest.
Four of the five couples compete in the semifinals – Ilona, 28, and Alan Bersten, Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson, Stephen Nedoroscik and Rylee Arnold and Chandler Kinney and Brandon Armstrong – all received at least one 10 from the judges. (Danny Amendola and Whitney Carson got 9s from each judge for both performances on Tuesday.)
The semifinal round ended with a surprise when the cohost Alfonso Ribeiro announced that all five couples will advance to the finals of the show. DWTS following the same format last season.
Before Riberio, 53, announced the final news, Burke said on his podcast that he hoped one couple would be sent home. While admitting it was “heartbreaking,” Burke said it “made for a better competition.”
“I hope we don’t lose anything, but I want to be in the final four pairs as much as possible because the final five pairs is just too much for me,” Burke said. “I know he did this, I think last season. I was like lost. It was just too many pairs for me.
Despite Burke’s criticism, he offered his congratulations to the five finalists. “Everyone deserves to be in the final. Now let’s start and start from scratch, because the most important thing is this freestyle round,” said Burke.
As they prepare for the finale, the remaining contestants run away Us Weekly about opportunities and how to create a mindset.
“Obviously, it’s just going to be a long week,” Jenna, 30, said us. “There’s going to be a longer dance, but I want, like, our mantra to be joy. I just want it to be a fun experience, because it’s over so quickly and we can’t go back. So, I really want it to be a positive week for Even though there’s a lot to do, I just want it to be a moment I’ll never forget.
When Joey, 29, has his eyes on the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy, he said us he and Jenna also collaborated on choreography and his fiance Kelsey Andersonthe first dance at their wedding.
“It doesn’t take a mirrorball to have that title,” Joey said. “He has that title for everything he does.”
