Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran have been friends only as long as they were collaborators.
The musicians’ friendship began in 2012, the same year Swift’s first duet, “Everything Has Changed,” debuted. red album. He then appeared in the June 2013 music video for the song alongside a child actor portraying a younger version of himself.

Two months after the release of “Everything Has Changed,” Swift and Sheeran performed the track for the first time at the 2012 Jingle Ball in December.

After much speculation of Sheeran’s song “Don’t” about possible romantic betrayal from Swift, he clarified in an interview with Parade Magazine that the song is “about a famous person, but not Taylor.” The article noted that the song was also rumored Ellie Goulding.
December 2014
Swift and Sheeran were among the many celebrity performers at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2014. Although they performed their respective tracks “Blank Space” and “Thinking Out Loud” separately, they stood together during the show.
February 2016
Swift jumped out of her chair to congratulate Sheeran after beating him for Song of the Year at the 2016 Grammys. The next day, she wrote a sweet birthday wish for her friend via Instagram.

Swift paid tribute to Sheeran in an essay for that year Time Magazine“100 Most Influential People” Edition.

The pair collaborated again on Swift’s sixth studio album, Self-esteemon the track “Endgame,” which is also featured season. As they did with “Everything Has Changed” the friends performed “Endgame” for the first time at the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball that year.
Sheeran and Future appeared alongside Swift in the song’s music video, which was released in January 2018.

Swift and Sheeran celebrate being nominated in the same category for that year’s American Music Awards in a cute Instagram video.
“Taylor, the AMA nominations are out. It’s me, you and Drake” Sheeran told Swift. Each responded by telling her, “You’re going to win,” before admitting that they thought “Drake was going to win.”
Filmed while walking together, Swift jokingly asked Sheeran, “That’s called exercise. Have you done cardio? Guitar strumming doesn’t count.”

After the Swift master was bought by Braun scooterfans criticized Sheeran for not speaking out in Swift’s defense. She finally broke her silence via Instagram after a fan came to her defense in the comments section of her post.
“Just because he didn’t post anything doesn’t mean he doesn’t support him, maybe he’s talking to him now, who knows,” wrote the user, to which Sheeran replied, “I’ve talked to him directly, like I did.”
