During part two of the season 8 reunion of Summer Housetensions flared between Ciara Miller and West Wilson when two people are faced with feelings that cannot be resolved.
Reunion, held by Andy Cohen, delved into the consequences of Miller and Wilson’s flirtatious on-screen relationship and subsequent non-exclusive dating off-camera. Despite the end of their romantic involvement, the reunion reveals that both parties still have deep feelings for each other.
Wilson, visibly shaken, apologized to Miller, stating, “I’m sorry, obviously, for hurting you… My feelings are genuine.” His remorseful tone suggests a desire to repair the pain he caused.
When asked by Cohen, Miller initially replied calmly “It’s fine,” but her body language told a different story. Upon further examination, she admitted, “I can’t sit here and say I still don’t like her,” confirming that she still has feelings for Wilson.
Cohen asked if that meant Miller still had feelings for Wilson. She said tearfully, “Yes, of course.”
The revelation seemed to catch Wilson off guard, as he said, “I mean, they are, but I wasn’t expecting to hear it, to be honest.”
The emotional exchange led to a brief break in filming, during which cast members offered their support to Miller and Wilson. Jesse Solomon assured Miller that his feelings were correct, while Amanda Batula check on Wilson’s health.
However, not all cast members are sympathetic. Paige DeSorbospeaking with Miller, suggested that Wilson’s main concern was public perception rather than Miller’s feelings, stating, “He’s most afraid of the public not liking him. They don’t give a damn about you.”
Last weekpart one of Summer House‘s season 8 reunion it was revealed that he had a relationship with a sports reporter Miller: are not together anymore. After three months of flirtatious filming, and three more months of non-exclusive dating back in the city, it fizzled out for the couple, largely because of Wilson’s inability to practice.
“Man, they’re going to hate me,” Wilson told ETsaid what played out on the stage of their reunion.
During an all-cast sit-down, a visibly shaken Miller called out Wilson for playing games with him for a year and a half, including taking him to Missouri to meet his parents. Wilson’s father accidentally posted a photo from the trip on Instagram a few months later, raising hopes for fans that Wilson and Miller are still going strong.
“Man, it’s crazy,” Wilson said, shaking his head. “I had a heart attack when I saw it.”
“I was like, what is this?” he remembered. “Like, what is this guy doing? And I’m texting and I’m like, ‘Please tell me you asked Ciara for permission!’ And he was like, ‘Yeah, no, I have to ask you too,’ but Ciara denied it.
“He’s become the breeder’s Instagram guy,” Wilson said. “When he had a picture that he was proud of, I thought he wanted to show it and, you know, he got permission from Ciara, so he let her rip it, and it sat there for months. .”
At the reunion, Wilson told her parents that she was “stupid” for bothering Miller, a confession that brought Miller to tears.
“I feel bad,” Wilson told the host Andy Cohen after seeing Miller became emotional. “It was not my intention to hurt anyone.”
Miller asked why Wilson didn’t “come out” of the relationship when he gave it to her before filming wrapped. West said he really wants to explore what he has, but it just takes more time.
“I think there are a lot of things — I mean, living in a house with people who are black and white,” she told ET. “You’re with the same people. You’re on the weekend, you’re doing XYZ… I think there’s a lot of life to be had outside the house, outside the summer, and I want to explore all of it. About a zillion other aspects of life that we don’t natural in summer.
Miller told Wilson that he “got everything he wanted from me and I got, literally, the bare minimum” at the reunion. She questions whether Wilson’s feelings for her are even genuine, speculating that he latched onto her as a buoy in the waters of reality TV; their relationship equaled the story of the fast and potential love of the followers. Wilson defends the romance, promising not to fake it. However, they have doubts about maintaining their romance when they are shot out of the famous cannon and want a place to adjust to their new normal.
“It’s not like, ‘This is the reason I want to be myself …’ and it’s like that,” he said of the concerns he raised with Miller. “More than that, I have a question about how to live after you date someone on the show.”
“I think I like to make my own decisions,” she added, “and not worry about other people’s feelings and compromises — and I know this is a very selfish POV — but I’d be lying if I didn’t deal with things like that.”
Wilson admitted in the event that he did not love losing his personal identity in the relationship, which he was listening to was labeled “new man” and lumped in with Miller by fan page for a month before the season was ever aired. But, Gabby Prescod called him out to use the show as an excuse to avoid commitment, which Miller agreed.
“F**k my f**king Instagram,” Wilson said. “I think for me just being able to be happy, being West … is important to me.”
Wilson said he and Miller are currently in “minimum communication,” which could change if he returns Summer House for season 9.
“I think it will be answered in a day or two, if we show the house again in the summer,” he muses. “Now I don’t know much, which might be the answer you’re looking for.”
Wilson thinks some distance is “probably the best” for this time, but makes it clear there is “never a losing, drag-out war between us.”
“There’s nothing naughty, bad, bad,” he said. “I mean, it’s all about mutual respect and mutual respect, so I don’t think there’s any hatred.”
