Shannen Doherty died at the age of 53.
Veteran actress – most famous for her good role in Beverly Hills, 90210 and Charm – died this weekend, some nine years after being diagnosed with breast cancer.

“It is with a heavy heart that I confirm the death of actress Shannen Doherty. On Saturday, July 13, she lost her battle with cancer after years of fighting the disease,” the star’s representative said in a statement on Sunday, adding:”
A daughter, sister, aunt and devoted friend surrounded by loved ones as well as their dog, Bowie. The family requests privacy at this time so they can grieve in peace.
Doherty was very honest about her journey since her diagnosis.
Just a few months ago, for example, he said publicly that he did not want to die.

Among the first to speak was Tori Spelling, who was recently on Shannen’s podcast.
Tori posted a selfie of herself and Shannen on her Instagram Story while admitting she was still processing her emotions.
“I don’t have an outside word yet … but WE know and that’s what matters,” she wrote.
The man with those words is Jason Priestly, who played his brother on the hit 90s show.
“Shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of my friend Shannen. She was a force of nature and I will miss her. Sending love and light to her family in this dark time,” Jason wrote on Instagram after this tragedy.
Jennie Garth, Brian Austin Green, and More Say Good-Bye
Nor was he the only former colleague of Doherty’s to speak out.
Jennie Garth, who played Shannen’s bestie turned nemesis in the hit teen soap, shared how much she loves her off-screen costar.
“I’m still processing the grief of losing my longtime friend Shannen, a woman I often describe as one of the strongest people I know,” she wrote on Instagram.
“Our relationship is real and honest. We fight often, but nothing reflects the true nature of our relationship which is built on mutual respect and admiration.
Garth added that Doherty was “courageous, passionate, determined and very loving and generous.”
She ended the post by saying, “I will miss him and will cherish him in my heart and in my memories. My heart breaks for his family and Bowie ????.
Added Gabrielle Carteris via Instagram post:
“So young – so sad. I hope you RIP Shannon. I know Luke is there with open arms to love you.
Brian Austin Green also paid tribute, sharing a post on Instagram Stories that read as follows:
“Shan. My sister … .. You love me through everything. You are part of my understanding of love. I will miss you more than I know how to process now. Thank you for your gift.”
