Sarah Al Madani wanted to give him an award Real Housewives of Dubai cast after season 2. Well, one award for one castmate, that is.
“It’s an Oscar performance, Lesa should be in Hollywood, acting,” the businessman told ET.
He talked about it Lesa Milanwho finds herself in the middle of the season finale drama, after Sara’s voice note is sent to Lesa privately, discussing the fallout between the two other friends in the circle — Caroline Brooks and Taleen Marie — became common in the group, because Lesa shared with her friends, Chanel Ayanwho plays for frenemy Lesa, Caroline Stanburyand Taleen. Their betrayal surfaced during a trip to Bali, where Lesa cried in frustration, stating that she felt blindsided by Ayan. Sara says it’s all for show, literally.
“When it was over, we found out that Lesa knew that Chanel shared the voice notes,” he said. “That’s why Chanel’s reaction was like, ‘Why are you crying?’ Like, ‘Why are you acting like a victim?’ and that, that’s just crazy.”
Sara said she was “120 percent” sure Lesa was false, or at least embellished, her reaction to dramatize the moment: “The people who worked on the plane with us, they all said they knew about the voicemail.”
“He’ll take a lie to his grave and believe a lie, and live,” Sara said of the “Oscar show” she saw. “Believe, and cry about things that don’t happen, and they’re lying. So, it’s scary. It’s like, it’s scary. Is it multiple personality disorder, is it for the camera? What… I don’t know what it is, but there are a lot of things that have to be we explain.
The person who didn’t have a reaction to all of this, at least a lot, was Sara. It may be a surprise for the audience, but not for Sara.
“If you can trigger and control me, then I’m on your leash,” he noted. “You can drag me out for a walk anytime. So, no.”
Lesa shares the voice notes with Ayan to try to read Ayan about who Sara is talking about in the recording. Lesa should have explained the comment Sara made about not being the “biggest fan” of Brooks; Sara said it was obvious she was talking about Taleen, a fact that the group agreed upon as they all listened together. It’s more proof, Sara said, that Lesa lied, adding an unexpected layer to it broken friendship between Lesa and Ayan. However, Sara said she saw it coming all at once.
“I’ve seen it since season 1,” he explained. “Lesa did what he did to Nina.”
It’s Nina Nina AliHousewife og — and Sara’s BFF — that exited the show after season 1which saw the cast divided into two factions: Lesa and Ayan, and others.
“History has repeated itself,” he continued. “Chanel is not herself about Lesa, and she is always controlled. I don’t like it, and I keep telling Chanel, you are an individual. Just be yourself. You have a personality, you know? Don’t let people tell you. What to say, how to act and don’t burn it so you can digest it. No.
Ayan discovered the split — which happened almost a year ago — in a bitter way.
“I don’t like friends breaking up, of course, but I also like it when friends break up, because it’s better for their mental health, who they are,” she offered. “I love Chanel now, in her headspace. I love how she feels! I love how she shines! She can be herself and all that. So I’m happy for her. I don’t know how Lesa feels, because I’m not close with Lesa, but I like it if it makes her happier, you know?”
Both women remain open to reconciliation, but Sara says that’s what happened (cast shot season 2 Reunion only after this interview was conducted), their friendship will never be the same.
“If you put a broken vase back together, it won’t look the same. It’s cracked,” she said. “If it makes them happy, great. Anything that’s better, good for them, for their mental health, or how they feel, if it makes them feel better, I’m happy.”
Out of season 2, Sara said she found herself closest to Ayan and, somewhat surprisingly, Stanbury. He and the end butted heads this season, as Stanbury felt like Sara tried to mediate the conflict between Stanbury and Brooks bleeding into meddling territory.
“He really didn’t like that I was friends with Brooks, and every now and then, you know, when your friends do something wrong, you stand up for your friends,” Sara muses. “Even if he made a mistake, you call him when you are alone. But in front of him you go, OK, calm down. Not deep. Come on, don’t fight. He didn’t. I was trying to calm the fire between him and Brooks, he wanted me to take a blind side, and I’m not going to do this to Brooks, her or anyone else.”
Another unexpected friendship that came out of season 2 was between Stanbury and Ayan, as Stanbury famously stated that hell had to freeze over for that to happen. Sara was also surprised, who claimed that Stanbury hid his post-season 1 bond with Ayan until the cameras came back up in season 2 — so secret, in fact, that he acted like he wasn’t close when he was with another woman.
“I don’t know why they’re hiding it,” Sara reflected. “I don’t know what he means. Maybe it’s selfish. Maybe it’s malicious. Maybe it’s malicious. Maybe he doesn’t know that he’s doing something wrong. I don’t know, because some people don’t know. Bad habits and patterns and behavior, I don’t know , but in the end, I love him, and I love (his husband, Sergio Carrallo), and me and Stanbury can fix it, maybe not 100 percent, but it will be 80 percent.
