Prince Harry has sought advice from a former British aide on planning a return from the US that could lead to a partial return to the royal fold, a source said.
In what has been described as an early stage in a strategy to “rehabilitate” him, Letter on Sunday reports that the Duke of Sussex has sought help from an adviser he had while working as a royal amid alleged problems with an American-based PR firm.
The main purpose of the move is claimed to be so that Harry can repair his relationship with his father – although the source insists he and his wife Meghan Markle do not want to return to the UK permanently.
It comes as the King hosts Sir Keir Starmer at Balmoral for the first official weekend of his royal retreat as prime minister.
Sir Keir and his wife Lady Victoria Starmer followed convention and spent a few days at the Scottish home of Charles and Camilla.

He added: “Everything we do at the King’s Foundation is inspired by Prince Charles III’s vision of harmony, promoting traditional skills and providing holistic, collaborative training for tomorrow’s fashion and textile professionals.

William and Harry both attended their uncle’s funeral in Norfolk, reports said
The Prince of Wales and the Duke of Sussex both attended the funeral of his mother’s brother-in-law, Lord Robert Fellowes, it has been reported.
Harry flew from the US to join William at a service at St Mary’s Church in Snettisham, Norfolk, on Thursday. Sun said.
The newspaper said that the brothers had a wise mind and sat at the back of the church.
A local resident quoted by Sun said William and Harry kept their distance and did not speak to each other.
Harry and his wife, the Duchess of Sussex, moved to the US in 2020 after stepping down from royal duties.
The princes did not meet when Harry spent time with the King at Clarence House following the news of his cancer diagnosis earlier this year.
Harry published Spare’s memoir last year, in which he accused William of pushing him into the dog bowl in a row at Meghan. It is also claimed that William teased Harry about having a panic attack.
Further tensions between the royal siblings can be traced back to the beginning of Harry’s relationship with Meghan, when his fiance then split with the Princess of Wales during the wedding.
Lord Robert, former private secretary to Queen Elizabeth II, died earlier this month aged 82. He was married to Lady Jane Fellowes, sister of Diana, Princess of Wales.

Six out of ten Britons have a positive view of the King, but William and Kate remain Britain’s favorite royal
The royal family can take comfort in knowing that their popularity with the British public remains solid, with King Charles still popular two years after taking the throne.
According to a YouGov poll, six in ten Britons (63%) have a favorable opinion of Charles III, while only three in ten (29%) have a negative view of the reigning monarch. This gave King an overall net favorability rating of +34, something many politicians would be envious of.
More popular is the heir Prince William and his wife Catherine, Princess of Wales. They are Britain’s favorite royal, with three-quarters of Britons (74-75%) having a favorable view of the couple, and dislike of the two being the minority view (13-16%).

Sir Keir Starmer has stayed with King Charles at Balmoral this weekend, enjoying his first official stay at the royal residence as prime minister.

Few details of Sir Keir’s visit to Balmoral have been shared by number 10 or the royal family.
The trip is likely to take place shortly before lawmakers return from their summer recess – with this year’s recess ending on Monday.

XR activists suggested King would be in the Windsor camp if he wasn’t king
One Extinction Rebellion (XR) activist who has set up camp in Windsor said he thought the King would “probably be here” and “ready to do some camping” if he wasn’t head of state.
Tents, stages and speakers are set up in Windsor Home Park on Friday morning ahead of a weekend of “action”.
Activist Marijn van de Geer, 41, said of Charles: “I think if he’s not the king, he’ll be here. I think he’ll be good enough to give some lectures and exercises. He’s an amazing person, he’ll be camping, it’s a shame he’s King because he obviously can’t be here.
“As an individual, he has talked about the environment. He has gone on days when he was talking about it and everyone laughed.
“This is 100 per cent not an attack on the King. Extinction Rebellion UK has no plans to attack Windsor Castle, any hotels, or cause any public disturbance.
