The Andhra Pradesh government on Friday appointed Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan as Deputy Chief Minister.

“Congratulations to Pawan Kalyan for becoming the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. I am grateful to all my colleagues in the cabinet for being given the portfolio,” Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said in a post on X.
Noting that the new ministers have taken oath to serve the people of Andhra Pradesh and usher in the era of people’s rule, Naidu expressed confidence that all the ministers will strive and fulfill the expectations of the people.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s son Nara Lokesh was given the portfolio of Human Resource Development, Information and Communication Technology.
During the previous TDP government between 2014 and 2019, Lokesh worked as the IT Minister.
Along with Naidu, 24 ministers were sworn in on Wednesday. Anitha Vangalapudi was given the portfolio of Home Affairs and Disaster Management, while K Atchannaidu, president of TDP Andhra Pradesh, was assigned Agriculture, Cooperation, Marketing, Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development & Fisheries Department.
P Narayana was given one of the main departments- Municipal Administration – which will be responsible for the development of the Amaravati capital region.
K Ravinda appointed as Minister of Mines & Geology and Excise.
Janasena leader N Manohar has been entrusted with the portfolio of Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs.
BJP’s Satya Kumar Yadav has become the Minister for Health and Family Welfare & Medical Education.
Nasyam Mohammed Farook is the Minister for Law & Justice and Minority Welfare while P Keshav is the Minister for Finance, Planning and Commercial & Legislative.
A Satya Prasad was given the portfolio of Revenue and Registration & Stamps.
K Parthasarathy will be Minister for Housing and Information & Public Relations.
D Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy has been allotted Social Welfare, Disability and Welfare of Senior Citizens and Sachivalayam & Village Volunteers Minister.
Gottipati Ravi Kumar is the Energy Minister.
Janasena’s K Durgesh will be Minister for Tourism and Culture & Cinematography.
G Sandhya Rani has been entrusted with the portfolios of Women & Child Welfare and Tribal Welfare, while BC Janardhan Reddy will be the Minister in charge of Roads & Buildings and Infrastructure & Investments.
TG Bharat is the Minister of Industry & Commerce and Food Processing.
S Savitha has been named Minister of BC Welfare, Economic Weak Section Welfare and Handlooms & Textiles, while V Subash has been given the portfolio of Labor Health Services, Factories, Boilers & Insurance.
K Srinivas is the Minister for MSMEs, Rural Poverty Alleviation Society (SERP) and NRI Empowerment & Relations and M Ramprasad Reddy will handle the Transport and Youth & Sports portfolios.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will hold the portfolios of General Administration Department (GAD), Public Enterprises and all other portfolios not assigned to ministers.
“My best wishes to you (ministers) all as you embark on this journey of service and dedication,” Naidu added.
Along with Naidu, the Cabinet has 25 members and includes from Janasena and BJP. It is a combination of 17 freshers and eight experienced ministers. Eight ministers came from the BC community, one Muslim, two SC and ST, among others.
Besides Naidu, 20 ministers belong to TDP, three from Janasena and one from BJP.
The age of the new ministers is between 41 and 74.
