Kim Porter father, Jake Porter, expressed his disgust through a video recently surfaced from Sean “Diddy” Combsphysically assaulted singer Cassie Ventura in 2016.
Jake – whose daughter ended up being Diddy’s former partner of several years — talk to The stone is rolling there, and excoriated the actions of the embattled music mogul, as seen on tape.
“You can tell I’m disgusted by the video,” Jake told the outlet. “I will not treat my enemy like that. It is despicable.”
CNN released the video in May shows Diddy physically attacked her now-former in 2016 in the lobby of the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles. In the video, Cassie is seen leaving the hotel room and walking towards the bank of elevators. Diddy, holding a towel around his waist, ran after the singer and grabbed him by the neck, throwing him to the floor. He then turned to kick her as she lay on the ground.
Diddy grabbed Cassie’s purse and weekend bag from the floor near the elevator before turning to kick her again. He then began to drag Cassie by the neck of her sweatshirt into the room before walking away.
“I couldn’t believe it,” Jake said of the violence seen in the video. “I was in Vietnam, and I wouldn’t do it for my enemy.”
She went on to say that, while she never saw Diddy being rude or abusive to Kim during their relationship, seeing the video “shocked me.”
“I didn’t know he could stoop that low,” Jake stated. “I imagine it surprised a lot of people. I wouldn’t even do a dog like that. My heart goes out to Cassie.”
Jake also shared his thoughts on Diddy’s romance with his daughter, telling her that he feels Diddy is a “very jealous person,” and it’s put a strain on their relationship.
“They both love each other. Kim’s love is legit. Puffy’s love, I don’t know what love is, you know what I mean? I really have no idea what love is,” Jake said.
Kim and Diddy dated on and off for 13 years from 1994 to 2007. They have three children together – twin daughters Jessie James and D’Lila, both 17, and son Christian, 26. They also have a son, Quincy, from a previous relationship.
Kim died from lobar pneumonia on Nov 15 2018, at the age of 47.
The horrifying footage of Diddy attacking Cassie matches the incident highlighted in the singer’s outburst. 35 page lawsuitfiled last year, in which she made graphic and disturbing allegations against Diddy, including claims that she was raped in 2018.
Cassie and Diddy announced their relationship in 2012, although they were romantically linked until 2007. In 2008, they collaborated on the song, “Swagga Like Puff,” and in 2009, they collaborated on the song, “Must. Be Love.” ” They split for good in October 2018.
Cassie claims the “Missing You” rapper started a controlling pattern and torture within a few years signed him to the Bad Boy Records label. She claims Diddy’s control over her included him introducing her “to a lifestyle of excessive alcohol and substance abuse and requiring her to obtain illegal prescriptions to satisfy her own addiction.”
The singer also claimed that Diddy repeatedly punched, beat, kicked, and stomped on her, causing bruises, split lips, black and bloodied eyes.
A day after he filed his lawsuit against Diddy, both of them reached the settlement.
Shortly after the video surfaced last month, Diddy released a video apologize for his actions.
“My actions in that video are inexcusable. I take responsibility for my actions in that video,” Diddy said in the clip. “I was disgusted when I did that. I’m disgusted now. I went and I got professional help. I went to therapy, I went to rehab.”
Cassie’s legal team responded to the video in a statement to ET on Sunday.
“Combs’ latest statement is more about himself than a lot of sick people,” said Meredith Firetog, a partner at Wigdor LLP. “When Cassie and many other women come forward, they deny everything and suggest that the victims are looking for a paycheck. They are only forced to ‘sorry’ when repeated denials have been proven false showing their desperation, and nothing to lose. by his rude words.”
