President Trump and his running mate, Ohio Senator JD Vance (R-OH), were shocked by his comments earlier this month about the invasion of Haiti in Springfield, Ohio. Now, one far-left non-profit group representing the Haitian community wants to be sued for exercising their First Amendment rights.
New 5 Cleveland reported Tuesday that the leader of the non-profit Haitian Bridge Alliance filed several false charges against Trump and Vance in Springfield’s Clark County Municipal Court, for sharing stories about Haitian migrants in the city allegedly eating pets and wildlife, according to the law firm representing them. group.
The Cleveland-based Chandra Law Firm, which represents the nonprofit, announced that the group could press charges using a state statute that allows private citizens to “file an affidavit charging that they committed a violation.”
Per News 5 Cleveland, here are the allegations leveled against the GOP ticket:
• Disrupting public services – by causing widespread bombardment and other threats that cause major disruptions to public services in Springfield, Ohio;
• Making false alarms – knowingly causing alarm in the Springfield community by continuing to repeat falsehoods that state and local officials have said are false;
• Committing telecommunications harassment – by broadcasting statements he knows to be false during presidential debates, campaign rallies, national television interviews, and social media;
• Making aggravated threats in the offense – knowingly making intimidating statements with the intent to torture, threaten, or harass the recipient, including Trump’s threat to deport immigrants who are here legally to Venezuela, a land he has never known;
• Committing aggravated menacing – knowingly causing another to believe that a member of the Springfield Haitian community will cause serious physical harm to the person or property of another in Springfield; and
• Violating the prohibition against complicity – by conspiring with each other and spreading vicious lies that cause innocent parties to become parties to various crimes.
Below is a press release announcing the Haitian Bridge Alliance’s intention to have Trump and Vance prosecuted, calling their comments “baseless and malicious.”
Counsel to the leadership Subodh Chandra also made a statement that appeased Trump and Vance that they were “not above the law” and should be held accountable. Constitution would beg to differ with Chandra on this matter.
“The Haitian community is in fear because of Trump and Vance’s impatient, irresponsible, false alarms, and public services have been disrupted. Trump and Vance must be held accountable to the rule of law. Anyone who created such a disaster as they did must be arrested now,” said Chandra.
“There is nothing special about Trump and Vance that gives them the right to get away with what they have done and are doing,” he said. “They think they are above the law. They are not.
In addition to trying to make Trump and Vance unconstitutional, the two men did not make the allegations, but instead relied on the testimony of ordinary Springfield residents who suffered because of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris along with corrupt local leaders.
As The Gateway Pundit previously reported , a Springfield resident said Haitians in the city “grabbed a duck by the neck, cut it off, and walked off to eat it.” Another revealed how the massive influx of immigrants, thanks to the border czar Kamala Harris, has weakened the supply of Springfield and turned the once-safe city into a crime hell.
One resident even claimed he saw a cat hanging from a branch and was carved up for food by Haitian immigrants. Reports are also emerging that American veterans who have sacrificed their lives will not receive benefits while Haitians are not paying taxes for free.
Instead of attacking the Constitution, Haiti’s left-wing interest groups should visit the citizens to find the truth and try to formulate a solution. But this will not happen because of hatred for Trump and loyalty for Democrats.
