Former President Donald Trump said he was âhonoredâ to be endorsed by Minnesota Gov. Tim Walzâs brother and other family members, arguing that it is vice President Kamala Harrisâ running mate who is the one that is âweird,â not his running mate, Ohio Sen. JD Vance.
âI was so honored today, his brother endorsed me, and his whole family,â Trump said of Walz during his town hall event with Fox Newsâ Sean Hannity. âLet me tell you, thereâs something weird with that guy. JD is not weird.â
Trumpâs comments come after a movement by Democrats on social media to paint Vance as âweirdâ in the aftermath of Trumpâs decision to choose him, though Trump has continued to defend his running mate.
âWeâre not weird,â Trump said during the town hall. âThat was the world of the day, âweird, weird, weirdâ⊠but weâre not weird guys. Weâre very solid people that want our country to be great again.â
Trump rips âborder czarâ Harris in Fox town hall: âShe was in charge of the borderâ
Former President Donald Trump blasted VP Kamala Harris on immigration in a Fox News Town Hall making the case that âshe was in charge of the borderâ as illegal immigration surged to record levels in recent years.
âThey want open borders,â Trump told Fox Newsâ Sean Hannity in a town hall event on Wednesday night. âShe wants open borders. Now sheâs all of a sudden said, oh, I think weâre closing the borders. She was the border czar, whether you like it or not, but even if you donât want to use that term. She was in charge of the border.â
âItâs the worst border in the history of the world, not just here. Thereâs never been a country that allowed 21 million people to come in over a three-year period. Thereâs never been. And 21 million people, many of whom are from prisons, many of whom are murderers and drug dealers and child traffickers.â
Immigration is the second most important issue to voters, behind the economy, heading into the 2024 election, according to recent Fox News polling.
Polling also shows that Trump leads Harris on the immigration issue where he beats Harris by 14 points in a Fox News Poll, 16 points in Maristâs poll, 18 points in Marquette Universityâs poll, and 13 points in the Wall Street Journalâs poll; all conducted after Biden stood down from re-election.

Harris agrees to debate with âassurancesâ from ABC: report
Vice President Kamala Harris agreed to the final rules for an ABC News Debate against former President Donald Trump while reportedly receiving a few âassurancesâ from the network.

According to a CNN report Wednesday, Harris agreed to the rules after receiving âassurancesâ that mics could be turned on during the debate and that moderators would be able to explain unheard exchanges.
âABC News has offered assurances to the Harris campaign that if there is significant cross talk between Harris and Trump, the network may choose to turn on the mics so that the public can understand what is happening, the moderator would discourage either candidate from interrupting constantly and the moderator would also work to explain to viewers what is being said, according to the source familiar,â CNN reported.

Trump warns of a depression âlike 1929â if Kamala Harris becomes president
Fox News anchor Sean Hannity asked President Donald Trump, with his administrationâs tax cuts set to expire in 2025, what that means for Americans and âeverybody hereâ in the audience.â
âSo I gave you the biggest tax cuts in the history of our country. If you let them. If you let the Trump tax cuts expire, which she wants to do, she wants to terminate them. If you do that, you will suffer the biggest tax increase in history,â Trump said.
âThereâs never been a tax increase like it on top of which she wants to add a lot of tax. This country will end up and Iâve said this a lot and I mean it. This country will end up in a depression if she becomes president. Like 1929, this will be a 1929 depression. She has no idea what the hell sheâs doing,â he added.
Trump touts his administrationâs foreign policy preventing conflict: âwe were very toughâ
During the Fox News town hall Thursday evening, former President Donald Trump touted his administrationâs foreign policy achievements and criticized President Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
âLook⊠we have October 7th. People saw it. We have things going on in the world right now with Israel and with the Middle East is blowing upâŠWe have Ukraine and Russia. That would never happen. That would have never happened,â Trump said.
âOctober 7th would have never happened if I were the president, it would have never happened,â he continued.
âAnd everybody know it. Iran was broke. They didnât have the money for Hamas and for Hezbollah. They didnât have the money for anybody. They wanted to get by, and we would have made a fair deal with them. I was only looking to make a fair deal with them,â he added.
âBut, you know, I wanted to say it so much during my term, we went four years without any, blow ups. We had no world trade center blow up. We had no radical Islamic terror. We had no radical Islamic terror, because we were very tough at the borders, that we were very tough with our statements,â he said.
Trump: Kamala Harris âis a woman who is dangerous,â criticized her flip-flop on fracking
â
Former President Donald Trump criticized Vice President Kamala Harris for being âdangerousâ after she switched her position on fracking.
âS
he wants no fracking. And she said it 100 times there will be no fracking. There will be no fracking. There will be no fracking. Then just recently she said yes, I could prove fracking. Look, this is this is a woman who is dangerous,â Trump said.
âI donât think too smart, but letâs see. But she loses her train of thought a lot. She goes, thatâs why she doesnât want to do interviews. Can you imagine her doing an interview like this or like any of them?â he added.
Trump: Kamala Harris was in charge of âthe worst border in the history of the worldâ
Former President Donald Trump said Thursday during the Fox News Town Hall that Vice President Kamala Harris has been âin chargeâ of âworst border in the history of the world.â
âI said at the beginning. I said when I heard they were going to have open borders. They want open borders. She wants open borders. Now sheâs all of a sudden said, oh, I think weâre closing the borders. She was the border czar, whether you like it or not, but even if you donât want to use that term,â he said.
âShe was in charge of the border. Itâs the worst border in the history of the world, not just here. Thereâs never been a country that allowed 21 million people to come in over a three year period. Thereâs never been. And 21 million people, many of whom are from prisons, many of whom are murderers and drug dealers and child traffickers,â he continued.
âAnd, by the way, women traffickers, you know, women trafficking is the biggest, and theyâre traffickers in women. And theyâre coming in now and theyâre putting them in our Social Security accounts, and theyâre putting them in Medicare. And just just one thing, itâs if you take a look, take a look. Over the last week, I said this was going to happen. And itâs happening because these people are tougher than our criminals are. Criminals are nice people by comparison,â he said.
Trump promises to âhealâ the world in wake of Georgia shooting
â
Former President Donald Trump promised to âhealâ the world in the wake of the school shooting in Georgia on Wednesday.
âItâs a sick and angry world for a lot of reasons and weâre going to make it better,â Trump said during his town hall with Fox Newsâ Sean Hannity. âWeâre going to heal our world. Weâre going to get rid of all these wars that are starting all over the place because of incompetence⊠weâre going to make it better.â
The comments come after four people were killed an nine were injured at a shooting at Apalachee High School in Georgia on Wednesday.
President Biden was briefed on the shooting at the school, which is located about 40 miles northeast of Atlanta, while Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp announced that he is working with local authorities to investigate the incident.
The shooter, 14-year-old Apalachee High School student Colt Gray, is in custody and is being charged with murder, authorities said Wednesday.
Tim Walzâs brother is â100% opposedâ to Democrat VP nomineeâs politics: âDonât agreeâ
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walzâs older brother posted scathing statements about the Democratic vice presidential nominee on social media, before confirming to the media that he does not support his brotherâs left-wing views but wants to keep a low-profile during the election cycle. âI was getting a lot of feedback from my friends, old acquaintances, thinking that I was feeling the same way that my brother did on the issues, and I was trying to clarify that just to friends,â Jeff Walz, Tim Walzâs older brother, told News Nation this week.
âI used Facebook, which wasnât the right platform to do that. But I will say, I donât agree with his policies.âReports had mounted over Labor Day weekend that Jeff was no fan of the left-wing Democratic Minnesota governorâs policies and took to his Facebook account to make his views known to friends and family.
As the media reported on the social media posts over the holiday weekend, Jeff and the Harris campaign remained silent as the New York Post exclusively published the headline: âTim Walzâs older brother is â100% opposed to all his ideology,â believes VP hopeful is not âtype of characterâ who should make decisions about USâ future.â

Trump ânot surprisedâ Harris turned down Fox News hosted debate
Weeks ago in a post on Truth Social, former President Donald Trump stated that he was ânot surprisedâ that Vice President Kamala Harris decided to turn down a proposed Fox News debate that would have been held this evening.Â
âComrade Kamala Harris has just informed us that she will NOT do the FoxNews Debate on September 4th. I am not surprised by this development because I feel that she knows it is very difficult, at best, for her to defend her record setting Flip-Flopping on absolutely everything she once believed in,â Trump wrote. âRather than the debate on September 4th, I have agreed to do a Tele-Town Hall, anchored by Sean Hannity, for Fox. It will take place in the Great Commonwealth of Pennsylvaniaâ
In his Aug. 19 Truth Social post, Trump attacked Harris for flip flopping on the border and on fracking.Â
Contention over aspects of the debate including rules, moderator, mute microphones, and topics have led to several canceled showdowns. Currently, the only scheduled presidential debate is September 10th on ABC.
What to expect from the Sept. 10 presidential debate on ABC
Expect to see tempers flare during ABCâs upcoming presidential debate on Tuesday, Sept. 10. Questions about the economy, border security and abortion will likely be three of the main policy issues discussed, while issues on LGBTQ rights, education, gun rights, and other topics will likely take a back seat.Â
Watch for former President Donald Trump to potentially slam Vice President Kamala Harris
over how she managed her debate prep, which the former president and his campaign took issue with and referred to as a âconflict of interest.â According to the Trump campaign, Harris is utilizing a high-powered attorney who is also representing Google in an upcoming federal antitrust case. The former president will also likely take Harris to task over her shifting policy positions. Â
Meanwhile, expect Harris to slam Trump over abortion and his policy shifts on the matter. Harris will also likely hone in on how Trump is a danger to democracy, using the Jan. 6 Capitol riot as evidence.Â
What topics are expected for Trump from Fox Newsâ Sean Hannity tonight?
Trumpâs pre-taped one-hour town hall will focus on the top issues impacting the country and how he is preparing for the Sept. 10 ABC debate with Vice President Kamala Harris in Philadelphia, according to Fox Newsâ âHannityâ team.Â
Itâs expected to also touch on his ambitions for the nation and focus on Harrisâ policy flip-flops.
In an interview with CNN last week, Harris was pressed on why she previously opposed fracking and now does not. âI have not changed that position, nor will I going forward,â she told Dana Bash, adding, âMy values have not changed.âÂ
Harrisâ now-abandoned past policy stances include eliminating private health insurance
, banning oil and natural gas fracking, banning the sale of gas-powered cars by 2035, proposals she supported in 2019 during her first bid for the presidency.
