Axis My India predicts big gains for Mahayuti in Marathwada and Vidarbha regions, where the ruling alliance has registered a poor performance in the recently held Lok Sabha elections.
A day after at least exit polls predicted victory for BJP-led Mahayuti in the Maharashtra assembly elections, two other polls on Thursday also predicted a sweep for the ruling alliance in the western state.
Axis My India gave 178 to 200 seats for Mahayuti with 48 percent of the votes and 82 to 102 for the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) with 37 percent of the votes. It predicts six to 12 seats for others with 12 percent of the vote. It did not give a single seat to Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA), suggesting a 3 percent vote share for the party led by Prakash Ambedkar.
Chanakya today, suggested that Mahayuti will win at least 175 seats and MVA can get 100 with around 13 more seats.

In the Marathwada region, where 46 seats are up for grabs, polls predict 30 seats for Mahayuti with 45 percent of the vote, 15 for Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) with 38 percent of the vote, one for the ‘Other’ category (12). percent vote share) and none for Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) with 5 percent votes.
In the all-important Mumbai region with 36 seats, Axis My India predicts 22 seats for Mahayuti, 14 for MVA, and none for others. However, it predicts that the difference in votes between the two main alliances will be thin with 45 percent for the current regime and 43 percent for the opposition.
In the Konkan and Thane region, where there is a contest for 39 seats, exit polls predict 24 seats for Mahayuti with 50 percent vote share, 13 seats for MVA with 33 percent vote, two seats for ‘Other’ (15 percent vote share) and absent in VBA (2 percent of votes).
While predicting a big win for Mahayuti in Maharashtra, Axis My India was the only poll to predict a victory for the Congress-JMM alliance in Jharkhand with 49 to 59 seats out of 81 as against only 17 to 27 seats for the BJP leader. National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and three seats for others.

While exit polls from Matrize conducted in association with several news organizations predicted 150 to 170 seats for the BJP and its allies in Maharashtra with 48 percent of the vote, it only gave the Congress and its other allies only 110 to 130 seats with votes. showing 42 percent. The polls gave the others eight to 10 seats, with a percentage of the vote of 10 percent.
Exit polls conducted by People’s Pulse gave NDA’s Mahayuti with 175 to 195 seats while giving only 85 to 112 seats to MVA and seven to 12 to others in Maharashtra. The JVC-TimesNow exit poll gave the BJP-led coalition a total of 159 seats and the MVA just 116 seats, with 13 more.
Another exit poll by P-MARQ in Maharashtra gave NDA a total of 137 to 157 seats and INDIA block MVA 126 to 146 seats while giving two to eight seats to others. On the other hand, a poll conducted by Electoral Edge predicted MVA to win 150 seats while giving 121 seats to BJP-led Mahayuti and 20 more seats in Maharashtra.
An exit poll by Poll Diary predicts NDA to win 122 to 186 seats and MVA 69 to 121 while forecasting 12 to 29 seats for others in Maharashtra. Chanakya Strategies, another poll, predicted 152 to 160 seats for Mahayuti and 130 to 138 seats for MVA while giving six to eight seats to others in Maharashtra.
Lokshahi Rudra has predicted a close fight between Mahayuti and MVA in Maharashtra and gave 128 to 142 seats and 125 to 140, respectively. It gives another 18 to 23 seats. The exit poll by Lokpoll gave Mahayuti 115 to 128 seats, with 37 to 40 percent of the vote, and predicted a victory for MVA in 151 to 162 seats, giving 43 to 46 percent of the vote. It gives another five to 14 seats with a vote percentage of 16 to 19 percent.
A survey conducted by Delhi University’s Center for Global Studies (CGS) has predicted electoral victories for the Mahayuti alliance in Maharashtra and the NDA in Jharkhand.
The opinion polls came out shortly after polls closed in Maharashtra and the second phase of elections in Jharkhand, predicting victory for the Mahayuti government in Maharashtra and the NDA in Jharkhand.
In Maharashtra’s 288-member legislative assembly, 145 is the majority mark. The BJP-Shiv Sena-NCP alliance is in power in the state. Counting of votes will take place on November 23 for assembly elections and polling to 15 seats in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Kerala and Uttarakhand.
The Election Commission has previously criticized the polls for the way they are conducted and, in the past few elections, they have been vindicated.
