The undefeated Cleveland Cavaliers are in action, and their start is quickly becoming more historic. Cleveland is 12-0, and only five NBA teams have ever won consecutive games in the beginning of the season.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are looking to bounce back in the second round of a back-to-back with the Portland Trail Blazers. Minnesota’s performance is a strong suspect on Tuesday night, and the club should be motivated to play better.

On the ice, Colorado star Nathan MacKinnon 12 points in five games this month, and he went scoreless in one of them for the first time all season. MacKinnon led the league with 30 points after finishing second last season with 140.

The 76ers (2-8) are the second-worst team in the East who also have another major underachiever in the Milwaukee Bucks (3-8). The Doc Rivers thing doesn’t work.

If Cleveland can run their streak to 15, they will visit the Celtics on Tuesday in a must-see event. The Cavaliers beat the host Bulls 119-113 behind Donovan Mitchell’s 36 points.

Philadelphia lost 111-99 to the New York Knicks on Tuesday as former MVP Joel Embiid (knee, suspension) made his season debut and scored 13 points on 2-of-11 shooting. Embiid hedged on whether he would sit out Wednesday after previously saying he wouldn’t play in the back, but we see the Cavaliers play whether he suits up or not.

MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES AT PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS

The Timberwolves have beaten the Trail Blazers for the fifth straight time when they play in Portland on Tuesday. One of those was a 127-102 beatdown in Minneapolis on Friday.

So naturally, the Trail Blazers took control of the match again and recorded a 122-108 record with an impressive performance. The Timberwolves committed a season-worst 23 turnovers and were 13 of 35 from 3-point range after going 22 of 50 in the previous meeting.

Anthony Edwards made four treys and scored 26 points on Tuesday after making nine and scoring 37 in a game in the Twin Cities. Portland energized by the play of Robert Williams III, who had 19 points on 9-of-10 shooting in his third game since major knee surgery.

That performance was one of Portland’s best of the season, but it’s hard to see them beating the Timberwolves two straight nights. Minnesota may be sending the other way this time around.

LOS ANGELES KINGS AT COLORADO AVALANCHE

The Pacific Division-leading Kings lost the opener of a two-game trip when they fell 3-1 to the Calgary Flames on Saturday. Los Angeles won their previous two road games by a cumulative score of 8-1, so Calgary’s loss may have been a minor one.

Trevor Moore scored Los Angeles’ lone goal with 2:31 remaining in the contest. Anze Kopitar had an assist, and he led the team in points (18) and assists (13). Alex Laferriere leads the Kings with nine goals but has just one in his past five games.

Colorado has won the first two contests of a four-game homestand and won the last three home games. The Avalanche beat the Nashville Predators 3-2 in overtime on Monday after scoring a season-best six goals for the second time in their previous three games.

MacKinnon (seven goals, 23 assists) is averaging nearly two points per game and doesn’t seem to be slowing down. MacKinnon had five assists in a recent win over the Seattle Kraken, and we see him put one into the net against the Kings.
