Moid Khan, who owns a bakery, and his assistant and employee Raju Khan were accused of abusing the 12-year-old about three months ago, police said. “During the next two and a half months, Khan continued to sexually abuse the girl and used the video of the attack to intimidate and threaten her. Khan did this with the help of Raju Khan. The situation came to light when the minor was found pregnant,” said the press issued by the state government.

Officials with the UP Police said that the matter, which was reported in Bhadarsa town under the jurisdiction of Pura Kalandar police station, was discovered when the girl’s family sought medical help due to abdominal pain. “A report has been filed against the accused on charges of gang rape and relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act (POCSO) following a family complaint. Nayyar said his surviving father had passed away two years ago, leaving the family to be supported only by the income of his mother and younger sister who worked as daily wagers.

ACTION BULLDOZER UP GOVT

The Yogi government demolished Moid Khan’s bakery, built on 3,000 square feet of kolam land. The bulldozer action came a day after the 12-year-old boy and his family met UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

“Officials with the district administration, along with the local police, reached the bakery in the morning and in no time destroyed the bakery, as it was considered illegal,” said Surendra Singh, a local from Ayodhya.

After unloading the bread, the JCB fleet and the administrative officials headed to the Bhadarsa area of ​​Ayodhya, which is the address of the SP leader’s second building. Satyendra Singh, secretary, Ayodhya Development Authority (ADA), said the bakery was built on pond land, so the action was initiated after an investigation. “We are also trying to find other illegal properties owned by the gangrape accused. Action will be taken,” said Singh.

SECOND ACTION WITHIN 24 HOURS

UP’s trademark bulldozer action is the second in 24 hours since the minor and his parents met Adityanath, who assured that the guilty will not be spared.

In the first action, soon after the meeting, two policemen, including Station House Officer (SHO) of Pura-kalandar police station Ratan Sharma and Bhadarsha outpost in-charge Akhilesh Gupta, were suspended. POLITICS OVER GANGRAPE

Adityanath raised the issue of alleged Moid Khan in the Assembly, asked why no action was taken against him and asserted that “no culprit will be spared”.

On Saturday, UP minister and Nishad Party president Sanjay Nishad left after meeting the girl’s family in Ayodhya. Nishad accused the SP leader of protecting the accused and vowed to protest at the SP office. “Those who chant PDA slogans and pat themselves on the back after winning in Ayodhya seem to have won with the help of these criminals,” Nishad said, demanding Khan’s expulsion from the SP.

SP chief Yadav has demanded DNA tests of the accused in the Ayodhya rape case. “In cases of evil deeds, the way to justice must be found by conducting a DNA test of the accused, and not just making accusations and doing politics. Whoever is guilty must be given full punishment according to the law, but if the accusation is proven after the DNA test , therefore the government officials involved should not be released. This is a demand for justice,” read his post on X.

Former UP CM and BSP chief Mayawati supported the “strict action” taken by the UP government against the accused and said it was “justified”. He is also desperate for Yadav. Taking to her X handle, she expressed concern over the incidence of crimes against women in UP.
