On Instagram Stories on Sunday, October 13, the 32-year-old Broadway star reposted a clip from SNLOfficial account of Grande’s tenure. In the sketch, Grande, 31, plays a Renaissance singer in hopes of impressing the prince (Andrew Dismukes). Show alum Maya Rudolph and Andy Samberg made cameos as pop star parents.
Slater also dropped “like” in SNL‘s post about the skit.
Grande returned to Saturday Night Live to host this weekend’s episode, featuring musical guests Stevie Nicks. Grande first hosted the show in March 2016 and previously appeared as the musical guest in September 2014 and this March.

As for her romance with Slater, Grande met the actor while filming the upcoming two-parter evil film adaptation. News of their relationship broke up in July 2023, the same month Us Weekly confirmed her and Dalton Gomez have separated after two years of marriage. Soon after, Slater filed for divorce from his ex-wife, Lilly Jaywith him receiving a son in 2022. Grande and Slater completed the divorce process in October 2023 and September of this year.
In November 2023, sources revealed how Grande and Slater were hooking up. “He’s a bit dorky and (both) are theater geeks at heart. He likes her. It’s mutual,” the insider said Us Weekly in time. “Their relationship is blossoming. It’s not easy with zero drama.”

Grande is “finally done with the relationship,” according to the insider, who notes that “her family trusts (Ethan) because he’s caring and a man.”
Rumors have swirled about the timeline of Grande and Slater’s romance since the news broke. Although he initially remained tight-lipped about the speculation, he directed the drama at length on him Vanity Fair cover story published in September, admitting that the negative attention about their relationship “doesn’t get any easier.”
“Of course, I went through a lot of life changes during the filming (evil),” he explained. “A lot of people work. We went for two years.”
Grande later responded to rumors of a romance with Slater. “The most disappointing part is seeing so many people believe the worst,” he said. “It’s definitely a tough ride.”

He continues to defend Slater because of his misunderstanding of him. “There is no less accurate description of humanity. … No one on this earth tries harder or spreads himself thinner to be there for those he loves and loves,” he insisted. “There is no man on this earth with a better heart.”
While Grande “won’t go into specific details” of her and Slater’s relationship, she insists that she won’t let the drama impede her personal growth.
“Honestly, it took me a lot of work to survive and heal certain parts of my relationship with fame and what I did because of the tabloids that have been trying to destroy me since I was 19,” she said. “But you know what? I’m 31 years old and I’m not perfect, but I’m definitely pretty good, and I’m proud of who I am today.
