Cardi B has revealed that she had a ‘freak accident’ that left her with serious injuries that nearly caused her to miscarry her third child.
Cardi B, real name Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, is pregnant with her third child which was revealed to the world earlier this month shortly after filing for divorce from husband Offset.
31-year-old, who is also a mother to daughter Kulture and son Wave, has revealed that the pregnancy has not been all plain sailing and just a week after revealing her pregnancy has been involved in a ‘freak accident’.
In a message on the X space chat, the WAP singer announced: ‘I had a strange accident. That’s what I have to explain I don’t know how something – well, it’s not a little, it really hurts.
‘It doesn’t happen often, but it got so big that I was paralyzed. And the little things that almost cost me little came. But no.
People reported that he then explained that he had fallen down the stairs. ‘I was going down the stairs and I slipped a little,’ he said on August 8 in another X Spaces message. ‘I almost fell, but I tried to stop myself from falling, so I held my face. My feet are still slipping, and I’m knocking my ass.
‘I was dilated and I had contractions every two minutes for 24 hours. So he had to keep an eye on me and I was in a lot of pain. I couldn’t move for two days straight.’
The star also revealed that he was given morphine to treat the pain. ‘Yesterday I felt good. I came home, but I came home high as a kite. Today, I woke up, honey. I’m dying, if I don’t feel good in four hours I’m going to the hospital and I don’t give an af**k,’ she explained in a voice message.
‘I’m going to expand this nonsense so I can get more morphine. My morphine is down! I don’t care.
‘God, this is probably why kids get addicted to drugs and s**t because I’m not gonna lie to you when moms take that morphine I’m at that time every f******g four hours, every four hours I wait for my s**t,’ he finished.
The star announced her third pregnancy in a social media post on Aug. 1 that showed the I Like It rapper wearing a red dress covered with a bump showing through her cleavage.
Cardi captioned the photo: ‘With every ending there’s a new beginning! I am very grateful to share this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life and most of all renew my power!
‘Remind me that I can have it all! You have reminded me that I don’t have to choose between life, love, and my passion! I love you so much and can’t wait for you to witness what you have helped me to do, what you have encouraged me to do!
‘It becomes easier to take the twists of life, so and test laying down, but you, brother and sister have shown me whether it is worth it to push through!’ the caption reads.
Cardi and Offset first started dating in 2017, and got married in September of that year. According to reports, Cardi has gotten a lawyer and filed for divorce from her husband.
This is not the first time that the couple has split and it was reported in 2020 that Cardi filed documents to end the marriage, but the matter was dismissed. The couple has not confirmed their current relationship status.
