Matilda is proud of her country and she loves to share her history with Miles. He wanted Matilda to review the “20 maxims” he sent her. They are the principles of how people live. Things like not being in a hurry and not acting angry.
Matilda did not understand the maxim. He felt that Niles Valentine was trying to tell him something. She was surprised when he pulled out the ring and proposed. Matilda was happy to say yes. However, Niles chickens out about telling Matilda that he wants to postpone the wedding. Later Matilda wants to celebrate with drinks at the club. Niles agrees and decides to tell the truth about waiting at the party. Matilda walked out feeling embarrassed.
Before 90 Days: Veah Netherton’s Long Wait to Get Clean
