Witney Carson has quite a cast of characters line-up as her DWTS partners
From comedians to athletes to three people named “Chris,” Witney has done the tango with some of the biggest names in Hollywood.
Witney joined the pro dancing lineup in Season 18, and while she just won the coveted mirrorball trophy, she’s already very close to the winner’s circle countless times before.
To be honest, there are many who would argue that he has been robbed of the top prize more than once!
when Dance With The Stars return in the fall of 2024, he will work with retired football star Danny Amendola. Danny knows a thing or two about being coached, as he is currently an assistant coach for the Raiders.
Can these two win the competition? Let’s look back at Witney Carson DWTS partners over the last few years to see who has to live up to!
Witney Carson’s First Partner is a Teenage Heartthrob
When Witney Carson took to the dance floor for the first time in season 18, it was on the arm of Cody Simpon. The pair are well matched and go far in the competition.
They ended up being 9, with the season’s winners being Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
But she wasn’t the only one dancing with Cody that season. During the switch up episode, he also took a turn across the floor with Drew Carey.
Witney Win Mirrorball Cup For First (and Last) Time.
In Season 19, Witney teamed up with Alfonso Riberio. Couples can’t stop! Week after week, fans love his routine. So far, Witney admits that her favorite routine is when she does the Carlton!
The pair won the competition, entering first, and cementing Alfonso’s place in the DWTS family. Now, she co-hosts the show with Julianne Hough!
A Series Of Chrises and Misses
Coming from the height of that season, Witney was partnered with Chris Soules in season 20. They were a good pair, landing in 5th place. She lost to Rumer Willis and Valentin Chmerkovskiy that year.
Since then, Witney has been partnered with two other men named “Chris”. In Season 24, Witney teams up with Chris Kattan. Unfortunately, he got the 12th position Dancing with the Stars: AthletesWitney has partnered with Chris Mazdzer, but also did not make it very far in the competition.
Sounds like he didn’t have much luck with these three! But the fate will soon change!
A Top 5 Contender
While there have been a few more missteps along the way, for the most part, Witney has been paired with excellent dancers and has consistently landed in the top 5 year after year.
In Season 21, Witney teams up with Carlos PenaVega. He got 4th place. Then, in Season 25, Witney teamed up with Frankie Muniz. He got 3rd place.
Then, he was robbed two years in a row!
In Season 27, Witney is partnered with Milo Manheim and in Season 28, Witney is partnered with Kel Mitchell. Both times he placed 2nd!
No offense to Hannah Brown and Alan Bersten, but they and Kel are killers! We really thought he had that!
Witney Is Not A Stellar Partners
Of course, it’s always the luck of the draw with DWTS. Sometimes you get a boybander or a star athlete.
And sometimes you get it, well you get Vanilla Ice, who landed Witney in 10th place. 10th place?! shocking!
Then, in season 30 Witney teamed up with The Miz. He got 9th place. Another bummer.
Additionally, in Season 22, Witney teams up with Von Miller. They placed 7th/8th in double elimination, but to Von’s credit, we think they would have gone further this year if the competition hadn’t been so fierce.
Witney Carson’s Partner Last Season
The last time Witney Carson competed, she was paired with comedian Wayne Brady. The duo did well in the show, scoring a perfect 10 set for Samba in week 5 and then again with Salsa in week 8.
But even scoring perfect 10s couldn’t prevent them from being eliminated. Case in point, after landing a perfect score in week 10, they still voted out, landing in 3rd place.
That’s the way he crumbles sometimes! But here’s hoping she does better with Danny!
