Several politicians across the country congratulated Team India for winning the bronze medal in Hockey at the Paris Olympics 2024.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday congratulated the Indian hockey team after they won their second bronze medal at the Olympics. The Harmanpreet Singh-led Indian men’s hockey team on Thursday defeated Spain in the third-place playoff to win the bronze medal. Captain Harmanpreet Singh scored two goals to give India back-to-back medals in hockey after Bronze from Tokyo 2020.
The Prime Minister also spoke for the Indian hockey team and congratulated them on their victory.
Taking to X, PM Modi wrote, “Indian Hockey Team shines at Olympics, brings home Bronze Medal! It’s extra special as it’s second consecutive Medal at Olympics.”

Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh also expressed his best wishes to the Indian Hockey Team after their brilliant victory at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

India’s External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar soon took to the official X account and congratulated the team.
He called the Men’s Hockey Team’s performance at the Paris Olympics, ‘an excellent display of skill’.
Union Minister and BJP leader Kiren Rijiju shared a video of the winning team’s celebration and congratulations on the official X account.
