On Tuesday, November 5, the Republican candidate won 312 electoral votes in the 2024 election against Ms. Harrisâ 226. He needs 270 votes to take the presidency, who will officially become president on January 20.
Reaction to Mr Trumpâs win has been mixed. While some, including X (formerly Twitter) and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, have celebrated the victory, others including Stephen King and Cardi B have expressed concern.
The names that will form Trumpâs team chosen by the president and help him realize his vision for America have now been revealed.

One of Trumpâs billionaire friends and one of his biggest financial supporters during the election, SpaceX and X chief executive Elon Musk has officially been promised a role in the incoming presidentâs administration.
Mr. Musk, 53, is set to co-lead a new department: the Department of Government Efficiency (which shares its name with the dogecoin crypto-currency). The âDOGEâ will operate outside the confines of the government and âpave the way for my Administration to dismantle Government Bureaucracy, slash excess regulations, cut wasteful expenditures, and restructure Federal Agencies,â the president-elect said.

Mr. Muskâs co-lead is American businessman Vivek Ramaswamy. The businessman ran as the Republican presidential candidate for the 2024 election but ended his campaign in January.
Like Xâs owner, the Cincinnati native is a billionaire.
He studied at Harvard and Yale, and before that, he founded the Campus Venture Network, a private social networking website for students who want to become entrepreneurs. The company was sold to the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation in 2009.
He has also worked for a hedge fund and, in 2020, founded Chapter Medicare, a Medicare navigation platform.
In recent years, he turned his attention away from business and focused on his political ambitions.

Mr Hegseth has served in the US military, in Afghanistan and Iraq, but he has no senior national security experience.
Politically, he has established himself on the right, championing an âanti-wokeâ agenda and lobbying to pardon service members accused of war crimes. He also questioned the role of women in combat.
âEverything about men and women serving together makes things more complicated, and the complications in combat, mean the casualties are worse,â he said earlier in the podcast.
67-year-old Susie Wiles â who has worked in politics since the 1970s â has been named as President-elect Trumpâs chief of staff.

Ms Wiles is the de facto manager of Mr Trumpâs election campaign and is considered the favorite for the position. The daughter of former American football player Pat Summerall will become the first woman in history to serve as chief of staff.
The 67-year-oldâs political career began in the 1970s as an aide to Jack Kemp, the Republican representative for New York and a former American professional football player who played alongside his father. He also worked on Ronald Reaganâs presidential campaign and Dan Quayleâs vice presidential campaign in 1988.
The 2024 election is not the first time Wiles has worked with president-elect Mr. Trump. In 2020, he considers himself an integral part of his unsuccessful presidential bid.
Tom Homan joins Mr Trumpâs team as âborder tsarâ

A big part of Trumpâs presidential campaign was his promise to launch the largest deportation of undocumented migrants in the countryâs history. To help lead this, the president-elect has recruited Tom Homan, the former director of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). He announced Mr Homanâs appointment as the new âborder tsarâ on November 10 via his social network, Truth Social.
âI have known Tom for a long time, and there is no one better at policing and controlling our borders,â he wrote, explaining that Mr. Homan will be responsible for âall deportations of illegal aliens back to their countries of originâ.
President Barack Obama appointed Mr. Homan, 62, as associate executive director of ICE in 2013. Mr. Trump promoted him to acting director when he became president in 2017.
Although Mr. Obama rejected Mr. Homanâs proposal for a controversial family separation policy to prevent immigrants from entering the U.S. illegally, Mr. Trump supported the idea. He introduced it as a âzero-toleranceâ immigration enforcement policy in 2018.

The BBC said he was a long-time ally of Mr Trump and a staunch supporter of Israel. He reportedly criticized the UN for not having enough support for the fight against Hamas that was elected to Congress.
Over the past decade, Ms Stefanik has moved from conservative moderates to the far right. He became one of Trumpâs staunchest supporters, fiercely defending him during the 2019 impeachment trial. This prompted Mr Trump to call him a âRepublican starâ.

The president-elect will name 53-year-old Marco Rubio as Secretary of State.
Mr. Rubio is the top Republican on the Senate Intelligence Committee and was considered Trumpâs vice presidential pick earlier this year.
He has previously called for a stronger foreign policy, particularly against China, Iran and Cuba.
Mr. Rubio ran unsuccessfully for president in 2016 against Mr. Trump.
Who is the unconfirmed role?
Donald Trump says Robert F Kennedy Jr will have a âbig role in his administrationâ

John F Kennedyâs nephew was an independent presidential candidate before withdrawing and voicing his support for Mr Trump in August. An anti-vaccine conspiracy theorist, the environmental lawyer, 70, has been lined up for a top job in Mr Trumpâs administration, possibly in health care.
Speaking at a rally before the election, the president-elect said Mr Kennedy â better known as RFK â would have a âbig role in the administrationâ and that he would allow him to âshake the foodâ and âgo wild on drugsâ.
âWe donât know what Iâm going to do. I talked to the president about it yesterday, and he asked me what I wanted, and I said, weâre currently developing a proposal,â Mr. Kennedy said on Fox News.

Judging from Mr. Trumpâs first term as president, he likes to keep things in the family. Despite telling Fox News in 2023 that his children would not be part of the second administration (âItâs very painful for the family, my family has been through hellâ), his sons Don Jr. and Eric have a big role in him. 2024 campaign.
Donald Trump Jr., the president-electâs eldest son, played a leading role in his fatherâs bid to overturn the 2020 presidential election, which he lost to President Joe Biden. As his fatherâs adviser, he is believed to have encouraged him to choose Ohio senator JD Vance as his running mate.
The roles of Don Jr. and Eric â the latter of whom is executive vice president of the Trump Organization â have not been announced. Ericâs wife, Lara, may have been involved in her father-in-lawâs administration. The co-chairman of the Republican Party, he has long been a campaigner for Mr Trumpâs presidential bid and is even being considered for the Senate in 2022.
Ivanka, Trumpâs eldest daughter, played a key role in the latterâs presidency as a senior adviser, along with her husband, Jared Kushner.
However, the two are not in the 2024 campaign. âI love my father very much,â 43-year-old Ivanka â often believed to be Mr Trumpâs favorite child â said when her father announced his 2022 presidential run.
âAt this time, I chose to prioritize my children and the personal life we ââcreated as a family.â
