Infowars founder Alex Jones held a press conference outside a Houston federal court on Friday before a federal judge ordered the liquidation of his personal assets.
Jones warned the effort to silence and disable Infowars was part of an effort to “undermine the First Amendment in America” and violate the law around the globe.
“What we’re seeing here is the law and the weaponization of the legal system. I think it’s a test of what is currently being done to President Trump, Steve Bannon, and others. This is an attempt at digital assassination,” Jones told reporters. “I never said anything that was claimed at Sandy Hook. Two judges in Texas and Connecticut found me guilty by default and then trials show literals in how guilty I am.
“The billion and a half dollar verdict was a fraud. The judges told the jury that I was at fault. Now, we have been bankrupt for almost two years proving that everything they claimed about me – meaning (claiming to have) hundreds of millions of dollars – was not true. You always don’t you hear any more. Now, instead of wanting the money, the plaintiff – who is actually not the family, but the government who is out in court – wants me to sit on the step-. court steps, plaintiffs’ lawyers, in Texas and Connecticut, ‘We want Alex Jones to be silent.’ This is it.”
Jones said that the plaintiff’s lawyer is also trying to close X’s account. X is the first social media platform that has been allowed to be used after the sweeping and unprecedented 2018 censorship of Infowars and Alex Jones, when he and his employees were systematically banned from almost all online platforms including Facebook, Spotify, Twitter, YouTube, Pay Pal and Instagram.
“This is about the destruction of the First Amendment in America,” Jones said. “And now, the plaintiff’s attorney, the Democratic attorney from Connecticut filed today to try to take the Real Alex Jones at X away from me. Now they want my identity. Under X’s terms of service, you can’t do that because it’s my personal property.
Judge Christopher Lopez’s ruling on Friday will result in many of Jones’ assets including the Infowars studio being sold. His main home in the Austin area and several other items were exempt from bankruptcy liquidation.
He has moved to sell his Texas ranch worth about $2.8 million, his gun collection and other assets to pay off his debts.
“These people want me to be silent. It’s done and totally transparent and the world sees through this. I was asked by one of the journalists before, ‘Is this the end?’ This may be the end of Infowars here, if not now, in the next few weeks or months. But this is just the beginning of the war against tyranny,” Jones said. “‘Give up? I just started fighting.’ People know I’m right.
“The corporate media has become a mercenary for the globalists, for Blackrock, for the WEF and the public knows it. So, the power structure, not only here but around the world, is collapsing. The corporate media is dead and a shadow of itself because it has become a corporate prostitute -big corporations and trying to fight against the independent popular press,” he said. “All the most popular hosts, not just here, but around the world, are populist anti-globalists, whether it’s Tucker Carlson or Joe Rogan or Alex Jones or Russel Brand, the list goes on and on.”
Jones warned the plaintiffs, Sandy Hook families and deep state attorneys, “don’t want money;” they want to silence and shut down the operation.
“Judge Lopez has been fair. He followed the law. He has been very frustrated by the fact that the plaintiff does not want money…and only uses the bankruptcy process to try to torture me and harass me. It is completely the opposite. My determination to fight this tyranny has never been stronger. And I won’t shut up. I’m given hundreds of interviews every day. I have all these amazing groups that want to work for me or work with me. And now this information is coming out and trying to silence me .
Infowars could air its last studio broadcast any day, starting “this afternoon,” before the government shuts it down, Jones said.
“I want to praise the crew, I want to praise our listeners,” Jones concluded. “I want to praise our supporters. There are congressional hearings about what they did for me and others.
