Army chief says Ukraine faces ‘one of the strongest Russian attacks’
Ukraine is now facing “one of the most powerful Russian attacks” since the start of the war in February 2022, the army chief warned.

Zelensky calls for more ‘long-range capabilities’ for Ukraine
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called on Western allies to provide “long-range capabilities for our security” as Russia continues to fire missiles at the country’s biggest cities.
Zelensky wrote on social media yesterday that “Russia terrorized Ukraine with more than 50 attack drones” and last week dropped “more than 900 bombs, about 30 missiles, and almost 500 ‘Shaheds’ on various regions of Ukraine”.
“All these attacks would not have been possible if we had enough support from the world in important areas,” he said.
He said this included providing Ukraine with long-range missiles and “really effective” sanctions to prevent Russia from importing critical components for drone and missile production.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky urged his allies to stop “watching” and take action before North Korean troops stationed in Russia reach the battlefield.
Mr. Zelensky raised the prospect of a preemptive Ukrainian attack on the camp where North Korean troops are being trained, and said Kyiv knows the location. But he said Ukraine could not do so without permission from its allies to use Western-made long-range weapons to target targets inside Russia.

ICYMI: Second Russian drone strike in Kyiv in as many nights destroys buildings, Ukraine says
Russian airstrikes in Kyiv damaged buildings, roads and several power lines in the city, the capital’s military government said on Sunday, after the military said air defenses were trying to repel drone attacks.
There were no injuries in the attack, which came in waves and approached the city from different directions, Serhiy Popko, head of Kyiv’s military administration, said on the Telegram messaging app.
