Alex Pereira defends his light heavyweight championship in a rematch with former champion Jiri Prochazka in the main event of UFC 303 on Saturday, June 29, in Las Vegas. The main card at T-Mobile Arena is on ESPN+ pay-per-view at 10 p.m. ET, with prelims and early prelims on ESPN and ESPN+ beginning at 6 p.m.
Pereira (10-2) has won three straight, including a second-round TKO of Prochazka in November that earned him the Brazilian’s 205-pound title. Pereira is No. 3 in ESPN’s pound-for-pound rankings.
Prochazka (30-4-1), who is ranked second (behind Pereira) in ESPN’s lightweight rankings, has won 14 of his last 15, while Pereira is coming off his only loss since 2015.

Ranking fights at UFC 303: Without McGregor-Chandler, who steps up?
The main event that was revived on Saturday was a rematch from last November where Alex Pereira won the belt. It was closely contested and swung both ways – mostly to Jiri Procházka, to be honest – before Pereira landed a left hook in Round 2 that was the start of the end. Speaking of the beginning, though: The most spine-tingling highlight comes during the prefight introduction, when the fighters stand in the corner of the cage staring at each other, not a single person moving a muscle. If Pereira and Procházka can bring their cool energy back on Saturday, we’re in for a good one.
Several storylines will play out at UFC 303. These are the most intriguing questions, which will be answered tonight.
