1. The police will continue to question Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, who has been taken into custody in connection with the June 11 murder case. Darshan and actor Pavithra Gowda were named prime accused in the case. Bengaluru police are investigating the death of Renukaswamy, a fan of the actor, who was allegedly tortured and killed for harassing Ms Gowda, a close friend of Mr Thoogudeepa, online. Police have taken nine people in for questioning. When Darshan’s name came up during the investigation, he too was arrested.

7. Bangalore Gayana Samaja will present Yuva Sangeethotsava 2024 from today. As part of the programme, there will be a vocal concert by Smruthi Bhaskar. 2. Minister in-charge of Udupi district Lakshmi R. Hebbalkar will hold a meeting in Udupi to review preparations for monsoon. He visited Udupi after three months. The minister was away from Udupi while campaigning for the Congress candidate in the Lok Sabha and Legislative Council elections, inviting the wrath of Congress workers.
3. The action committee against the Udupi-Kasaragod 400 kV power line will hold a demonstration protesting the installation of the power line through the fertile land of Inna and the village of Karkala taluk, at Inna in Udupi district.
