The Olympics continue on Saturday with many more medals up for grabs in Paris amid a typically busy Games schedule.
The women’s 100m final took center stage as the athletics action rose at the Stade de France, but it was far from the only highlight.
Team GB will be out to increase their medal tally even further, having set a new national record for most gold secured in the first week of the Olympic Games with nine after a memorable treble on Fantastic Friday.

Men’s pommel horse final – 16:16

Whitlock, who won gold in the event in Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo, is looking to become the first person to win three pommel horse titles on the bounce, as well as become the first gymnast to win medals on the same apparatus four times in a row. Games.
The 31-year-old qualified three times for the final but then added difficulty to the routine during Monday night’s team final. Finishing fourth in a row there has added fuel.
Women’s 100m final – 8.20pm
All eyes will be on the fast purple track of the Stade de France on Saturday night for this weekend’s huge 100m final.
We won’t know the exact lineup until after Friday’s semi-finals, but world champion Sha’Carri Richardson of the USA should be the clear favorite barring disaster after a dominant performance in the heats.
Jamaican competitor Shericka Jackson has withdrawn from the 100m event in Paris, but is still running in the 200m.
Copatriots Shelly-Ann Fraser Pryce and Julien Alfred from Saint Lucia will be expected to take the fight to Richardson instead, while Team GB will hope that Dina Asher-Smith and Daryll Neita can pass.
