The Secret Life of a Mormon Wife star Whitney Leavitt welcomed her third baby with her husband Connor Leavitt after the premiere of the reality show.
Whitney and Connor welcomed son Billy Gene Leavitt on October 24, the couple confirmed people.
“We are most excited that our family is complete. We always wanted three children and we are very happy with everyone now,” said Whitney to the outlet in an article published on Monday, October 28.
“We always wait to name our kids after we meet, but with Billy, we fell in love with the name right away β even before we met,” Whitney said of the baby’s name. “We like the gender neutrality of the name because we don’t find out the baby’s gender until birth, which we’ve never done before. The name allows us to feel connected to the baby without knowing its gender.
Whitney, 31, shared her pregnancy news in April. “So excited to announce after so much hard work we are finally PREGNANT!!!!!” she wrote in an Instagram video of her and Connor dancing together.
In September, Whitney published a throwback clip of the couple – who married in August 2016 and previously welcomed daughter Sedona in November 2019 and son Liam in December 2021 – looking at the results of a pregnancy test and happily hugging when they found out they were positive.
“A pregnancy test that will go down in history ππ,” she captioned the video, referring to the test she put on a cake she brought to a family gathering in an episode of the Hulu series. “I can’t wait to meet you bb! And to find out if we have a bb girl π or a bb boy π. You are already in love!”
Later that month, Whitney showed off her baby bump in a photo shoot with Connor and her two children. “Last family photo with just the 4 of us π₯Ήπ€§π,” she wrote. “We can’t wait to see you next month bb π€.”
Whitney’s personal life took center stage during season 1 of The Secret Life of a Mormon Wifewhich premiered in September. In addition to the drama with the MomTok group, she revealed that Connor has overcome his porn addiction and created a Tinder account during the marriage.
After the reality show went down, Whitney spoke about the status of her marriage.
“Love that guy,” he said on “The Squeeze” podcast in September. “There were a lot of intense moments between Connor and I that we didn’t (include) in this season, that’s okay – I’m not an editor. There was a moment when we were filming the pilot and the showrunner asked about (why) we went to Hawaii and it wasn’t a conversation that bring this to the show. It wasn’t a conversation that Connor and I had planned.
She added, “Connor just looked at me and showed me everything. It was so vulnerable and emotional and so incredibly powerful. I’m so proud of him because it had to be his decision, not mine.
Whitney explained that Connor “had a porn addiction for a long time and it was really hard to overcome,” saying she “didn’t know what was going on.”
However, she insists that the problem helps strengthen her marriage. “When you go through a tough thing and you come out, man, your relationship is stronger than ever,” he said. “In the end, it sucks, but holy hell, I’m grateful for where we are now.”
After considering whether or not she wanted to rebuild her trust with Connor, Whitney was happy with where she ended up. “That doesn’t mean that something still doesn’t affect me,” she said. “At that time, then I will try and move forward.”
