Turkey strikes Kurdish militant targets in Iraq and Syria after deadly attack on defense company
The Turkish air force struck Kurdish militant targets in Iraq and Syria on Wednesday in apparent retaliation for an attack on a state defense company that killed five people and wounded more than 20 others. The defense ministry said more than 30 targets were “destroyed” in the airstrikes, without specifying where they were hit. It said “all kinds of precautions” were being taken to prevent harm to civilians.

The Odisha government has expedited the process of evacuating 10 lakh people to safer places as a severe cyclonic storm is expected to make landfall between Kendrapara and Bhadrak districts of Odisha during October 24-25.
