On October 5, President Trump returned to the scene of his assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, to wrap up a July 13 rally that ended minutes after Trump began speaking when the would-be assassin opened fire. , Miraculous only wounded Trump in the right ear but killed one supporter, Corey Comperatore and grievously wounded two supporters, James Copenhaver and David Dutch.
News photos of Trump’s bold protest after the shooting have become iconic and widely displayed on the day of the rally. This TGP contributor covered the July 13 rally and the October 5 rally. (Photo July 13 reporting Part One and Part Two.)
This rally is a mixture of a triumphant return and a memorial service for Corey Comperatore, who was shot and killed while protecting his family during the gunfire. It also showed Trump’s public gratitude for being blessed by God to survive the attack by turning to look at a chart on illegal immigration.
I took hundreds of photos that day and have tried to choose the best ones for the story of the day. Due to editorial constraints, not every speaker at the rally will be featured, but some of them have been featured in other TGP reports on the Trump rally in Pennsylvania. Just a few photos will show the better protection measures for public gatherings.
