Kailyn Lowry wants to give you a correction.
On more than one semi-recent occasion, ex Teenage Mother 2 star has said that she is done having children.
Last year, Lowry said as much during an episode of one of his podcasts, directly stating:
“No more pregnancies, no surprise pregnancies, unplanned pregnancies, pregnancies, surrogacy, nothing.”
A few months later, after revealing that she had given birth to twins, Lowry said the doctor had connected her tubes as part of a C-section that enabled her to welcome her newest son and daughter into the world.
Kailyn already also said, Meanwhile, the girlfriend Elia has received a vasectomy.
So, we have it, right?
Seven children is enough for Kailyn Lowry, and now she is ready with her family members, right? Well, maybe not, it turns out…
Maybe 8 Actually So Enough!
“Am I going to adopt a child? Maybe I’ll explore that kind of opportunity,” Lowry said on his Barely Famous podcast a while back.
“Maybe not even adopting, but, like, maybe raising a child. I feel like that would be more than something that would entertain more than, like, IVF or something. Because that feels like a lot.
“And, I don’t know; I’d rather help another kid who needs a home than bring someone in. Like, 7 is too many.
Most people would agree that seven is a lot.
Most would also agree that raising a child in need is also a very good decision.
Meet the Children He Has
As mentioned above, the Teenage Mother alum welcomed twins Verse and Valley last fall with Elia Scott; the two also share son Rio, 15 months.
But that is far from all!
Lowry is also mom to Creed, 3, and Lux, with ex Chris Lopez; son Lincoln with ex Javi Marroquin; and son Isaac with ex Jo Rivera.
Kailyn has tried to explain in the past how she juggles such a household, but also has admitted that having this many kids is pretty darn challenging.
If you include live births and miscarriages, Lowry has been pregnant for more than a decade of her life.
He is only 32 years old, and he first stated that he was not interested in IVF.
“I personally don’t want to put myself in. I don’t want to deal with hormones,” he said on air.
“I know, it’s just some people’s choice. But for me personally, I prefer to explore ideas, such as, adoption, fostering, surrogacy.
Time to Expand The Fam?!
But now, he seems to have had a change of heart on the subject.
“One day I was like, OK, I’m definitely done.’ Yesterday me and one of my girlfriends were laughing, talking, it’s over,” Kailyn told E! News on September 22.
“You think you’re done, and then you (have) this last squishy moment,” Kailyn continued.
“I remember wearing my three-month-old twins, and I was like, ‘This is the last time I’m going to do this. Like, are we sure it’s over?'”
“But if you asked me two days ago, Elijah and I might have been planning to do IVF or something, I don’t know.”
Kailyn later revealed that she often thought she was done, but then changed her mind during a sentimental moment.
“You think you’re done, and then you (have) this last squishy moment,” the former reality star said.
“I remember wearing my three-month-old twins, and I was like, ‘This is the last time I’m going to do this. Like, are we sure it’s over?’ “
And when it comes to fostering? In the hope that the foster boy or girl will find adoptive parents?
“I can’t break the table,” he said in an interview earlier this year.
“But now, it’s unrealistic about what we can’t give, everything we have to give and what we want to give. Now it’s impossible.”
Looks like Kail has decided to keep her options open!
