Will Taylor Swift officially endorse Kamala Harris for POTUS?
On Sunday, July 21, President Joe Biden withdrew from the 2024 election and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris.
The Democratic Party quickly united, gathering new candidates.
Rumor has it that Taylor Swift will make a big impact on Harris’ Vice President campaign, possibly fundraising for him. Is that true? Swifties are on board.
Kamala Harris is running for POTUS
Amid concerns about his age, President Joe Biden bowed out, making way for Vice President Kamala Harris to become President.
Vice President Harris confirmed at the time that he felt “honored to have the president’s approval.”
He added: “My intention is to get and win this nomination. … “I will do everything in my power to unite the Democratic Party – and unite our nation – to defeat Donald Trump and his extreme Project 2025 agenda.”
In the hours following President Biden’s announcement, many celebrities spoke out to endorse Harris’ candidacy for Vice President.
More importantly, the Democratic delegation also pledged support along with important donors and a large portion of the party’s voter base.
But there’s another potential endorsement for Kamala Harris that millions want: Taylor Swift.
Swifties are mobilizing
On social media, including Twitter, Taylor Swift’s most dedicated fans are gathering nominations that will make it official.
From using Taylor’s lyrics to using existing platforms to share Taylor Swift’s excitement, buzz, and news, fans are boosting Harris’ Vice Presidential campaign at the grassroots level.
The result – combining political activism with a highly motivated voter base – is truly remarkable.
However, what we are seeing now is activism among Taylor Swift fans.
However, even though we know that Taylor doesn’t like former president Donald Trump’s rudeness, it makes us wonder how he feels about the 2024 Presidential race.
And even though she likes Vice President Kamala Harris, will Taylor support her? Will they raise funds for him?
Is Taylor Swift planning to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris?
Rumor has it that Taylor Swift and Beyonce are planning a fundraising concert to support Kamala Harris.
That claim came from UK inventora site whose publication history shows zero credibility.
While it is true that Beyonce has signed on Vice President Harris to use “Freedom” in her campaign, it is now. (Some might suggest that Kim Petras’ “Coconuts” would be appropriate…although the lyrics might be a bit much)
However, Taylor Swift previously endorsed Kamala Harris. In August 2020, he signaled his enthusiasm when Senator Harris joined the ultimately victorious Biden ticket.
Then, in October of that year, Taylor posted: “Going to watch and support @KamalaHarris by yelling at the TV.”
It’s very possible that Taylor Swift is considering President Kamala Harris. Any official endorsement, however, has yet to appear.
