Taylor Lautner and Taylor Lautner (née Dome) knows exactly what gets on one’s nerves – specifically household habits that can get on his nerves from time to time. During the couple’s exclusive video interview with Hollywood Lifeat Home Team actor, 32, and registered nurse, 27, revealed their biggest pet peeves about each other while promoting their new STEM™ partnership and STEM Attracts & Traps Flying Insects Light Trap.
“Tay is a very organized person, clean, and I … not so much,” Taylor pointed out, before Tay noted that his wife has “become better” with his character over time. Tay later explained that she’s “very clean and (needs) things to be organized,” adding that it “seems like (her) brain prefers things.”
Despite having different cleaning habits, Tay notes that she “can’t get mad” at it twilight actor because, “Taylor just does not see, what I have learned is not to ignore.”
Taylor also made sure to mention her biggest peeve about Tay: toilet paper. “I like toilet paper that hangs a certain way – so it’s on the top, not the bottom,” he said as the two laughed.
Despite occasional complaints about their habits at home, the couple has been happily married since 2022.
“Tay and I have been together for seven years now, almost two years of marriage, and we have little bugs about each other that we can definitely overcome,” he pointed out, before explaining the latest partnership and Tay’s. “But the thing that STEM knows is bugs, and we’ve been using STEM (Light Trap) as our home before this partnership. … It’s the simplest device. It’s just a sticky cartridge with blue UV light that you stick on your wall.
The brand conducted a survey that proved that the presence of insects and other bugs in the house can increase the feeling of annoyance between couples. Fifty-two percent of the respondents even agreed that they are more likely to notice their partner’s mistakes when they are at home.
As Taylor told Hollywood Life, the couple had been using STEM in their home before partnering with the brand, and Trap Light helped them get distracted by less stuff. It’s an insecticide-free solution that uses soft UV-blue light and a rechargeable cartridge to attract and trap flying insects 24/7 including mosquitoes, gnats, fruit flies, house flies and moths. Since insects and other crawlers can get into the space — especially in the summer when Taylor admits she likes to leave doors and windows open — Taylor points out that she and Tay have STEM Light Traps “in every corner pocket of our house.”
In addition to their latest partnership, Taylor and Tay have also hosted a podcast, “The Squeeze,” since early 2023. On the show, the couple invites a number of celebrity guests to discuss important topics, ranging from mental health to managing attention. so much that comes with fame – which the winner of the MTV Movie Award has experienced in the past.
Speaking exclusively to Hollywood Life, Taylor explained how she found a healthier approach to managing her life in the public eye and her private life with Tay.
“It’s been a balance for me, but I would say I’m more closed off personally than I am now,” he said. Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D the star said. “I just think when it happens when I’m young, it’s just a scary thing to have privacy taken away. … And for me in the last few years, I’ve found a healthier balance where you find joy, like true joy, in sharing moments live with people. So I think it’s a good journey for me.
Tay admitted that seeing her husband open up on the podcast has been “amazing,” noting that he was pleasantly surprised to hear her say “something she’s never said before” on the show.
“(It’s) so cool that he feels safe enough to share it now,” Tay added.
