The film Tara & Akash: Love Beyond Realms is all set to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. Co-produced with the National Film Development Corporation, the film combines the majestic landscape of Switzerland with the deep philosophical heritage of India.
The film traces the journey of Tara & Akash presented with an engaging script that captures the beauty and spirit of Swiss cities, as well as the deep philosophical traditions of India. This compelling narrative first gained international attention when it obtained an official collaboration with Swiss Tourism, recognizing the film’s potential to present the breathtaking Swiss landscape in a unique cultural context.
The film features former Mr India winner – Jitesh Thakur and former Miss Diva finalist – Alankrita Bora along with Deepti Naval, Amol Palekar and Brijendra Kala in pivotal roles. The film is directed by Srinivas Abrol and produced by Jitesh and Alankrita Whispers production house of Eternity Films and National Film Development Corporation of India (NFDC) – under Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India.

The potential of the film was further validated when it was selected for the Film Bazaar, organized by the National Film Development Corporation of India (NFDC) at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa 2023. This prestigious platform not only highlights the artistic value of the film. but also led to win co-production with NFDC, the main milestone that propelled the project forward. The film also stars legendary actors like Amol Palekar, Deepti Naval, and Brijendra Kala, whose performances add depth and gravitas to the film.
Now, as the film is ready to be shown to the world, Tara & Akash: Love Beyond Realms is set to make its global debut at TIFF 2024. The first screening of the film will be a Market Screening, proudly supported by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting. and NFDC, underlines the international importance of this Indo-Swiss collaboration.
Tara & Akash: Love Beyond Realms is honored to be screened alongside other outstanding films at TIFF 2024, such as Superboys of Malegaon by Reema Kagti at the gala presentation and All We Imagine as Light by Payal Kapadia at the special presentation.
