While Kody seems to point to his failed marriages with these three unique wives as being unhealthy, he identifies his relationship with Meri as the worst.
“This marriage is on the rocks of all marriages,” said Meri, who married in 1990. “And how do I know that? Because I have a greater relationship with Janelle, with Christine, with Robyn, and Janelle and Christine can not live.
He added that he “should have gotten out of the connection 25 years ago” as a substitute for staying 30 more years.

“My alternative always remains. If I have to leave sooner, I’ll leave sooner,” Meri told Kody on Sunday’s episode, noting she’s taking steps to “end” her union with her church.
While Kody is effective with the changes in his relationship with Meri, he doesn’t like how the church classifies the piece.
“He said that he would give Meri Bukak, divorce because of abandonment, and I just do not imagine that is true in any respect. He is not abandoned,” he said in the confession.
Meri, meanwhile, is firm in her understanding that Kody “knows what’s going on” all the way through and will come with her to the church elders.
“I know he used the phrase he left, and he really didn’t like it. Most people don’t like the fact,” Meri quipped.
However, despite everything, Kody said that he hopes that his relationship and friendship with Meri will not end after the breakup.

“She remembers Kody,” Christine’s daughter Mykelti’s husband, Tony, said Sunday.
“Oh my God!,” Christine, who Kody’s main wife has officially left him for, replied.
“He’s from the same tech,” Tony said of David. “All this Boomer stuff I don’t know what they’re talking about.”
Noting the eight-year gap between her and her husband-to-be, Christine says she’s not a Boomer, although technically David is.
Kody, meanwhile, gushed about being a member of Gen X, later in the confessions.
“Gen X, we’re wild tech,” Kody said. “What a great time to be alive! You’re a young person in the 80s, you’ve bought into the music movies, you’ve bought into the style, so a lot of issues are happening. Duran Duran happened in the 80s!”

While Christine’s children need what’s best for them and even have some good things to say about David, not everyone is on board when it comes to the new couple’s whirlwind relationship.
“As pleased as I am for her, I feel there is a strangeness in just because I have just recognized that she is married to my father,” Christine and Kody’s daughter Ysabel Brown stated in the confessional. “They’ve only been divorced for a little while, and it’s been unusual.”
To her mother, Ysabel added, “But, suppose you switch too quickly.”
Christine agreed with her daughter’s take, however, she was not specific about any curiosity in calming the problem down with David.
