President Donald Trump announced on Sunday night’s Truth Social that former ICE Director Tom Homan will be the new “Border Czar.”
Homan, a staunch supporter of strong border policy and an experienced law enforcement leader, will be tasked with overseeing all aspects of US border security, extending the southern and northern borders to include the maritime and aviation domains.
Homan will lead all deportation efforts, implementing strict policies to remove illegal aliens from the country.
President Trump’s announcement read:
“I am pleased to announce that Former ICE Director, and stalwart in Border Control, Tom Homan, will join the Trump Administration, responsible for our Nation’s Borders (“The Border Czar”), including, but not limited to, the Southern Border, the Northern Border , all Maritime, and Aviation Security. I have known Tom for a long time, and there is no better person in our Borders. Also, Tom Homan will be in charge of Deportation of Illegals back to Home Country no doubt he will do the job which is very good and long awaited.
Tom Homan’s credentials are impressive. With 33 years of law enforcement experience and an illustrious career at ICE, Homan has proven himself to be a committed public servant in enforcing immigration law.
Homan’s most notable role was his appointment by President Trump as Acting Director of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on January 30, 2017. He served in this capacity until his retirement on June 30, 2018.
Prior to this appointment, since 2013, he held the position of Executive Associate Director of ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO), under the Government Technology & Services Coalition (GTSC).
With Homan at the helm, the Trump administration aims to curb illegal immigration by sending a clear message that America’s borders will be secure and that violators will be held accountable.

Cecilia Vega asked: “Is there a way to carry out mass deportations without separating families?”
“Of course there is. Families can be deported together,” said Tom Homan, head of ICE during Trump’s family separation policy. https://t.co/If9G1sNEzj pic.twitter.com/TIWhi25Vdu

Earlier this year, Homan testified at a House Judiciary Committee hearing along with the Art Arthur Center for Immigration Studies and America First Law Executive Director Gene Hamilton to examine Joe Biden’s handling of the illegal immigration crisis.
The hearing follows the gruesome murder of Georgia student Laken Riley by a suspected illegal alien named Jose Ibarra. Countless Americans have been raped and murdered by illegals that Biden is rolling out the red carpet for.
It also came almost immediately after the Biden Regime admitted to actively aiding and abetting the invasion by operating secret charter flights to transport more than 320,000 illegal immigrants from foreign airports to various US cities.
In October, former Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director Tom Homan joined Behind Enemy Lines podcast host Terry Newsome and TGP contributor Paul Drabik to talk about the dangerous border crisis.
During the interview, Director Homan addressed the problem of NGOs and the Catholic Church making billions from the immigration crisis. Gateway Pundit previously reported that Catholic Charities conspired with the city of Chicago and an NGO linked to Obama to house people for up to six months in apartments.
In the period between December 2022 and February 2023, more than 15,200 people were settled.
According to a report made to the City of Chicago by Catholic charity workers, 3,445 of the 15,200 were moved into homes.
According to Homan, the Trump administration has tested the children’s DNA to ensure sponsors claiming the children are related.
Homan said that this policy was abandoned by the Biden administration because it “…cuts time in custody…” and as a result, “…
However, human trafficking has become a major problem among mass-migrating populations.
