Peter Andre’s fans were delighted to see him perform at a new nostalgia festival, where a special guest appeared.
Unfortunately for Pete, this resulted in him being kicked off the stage.
The Mysterious Girl hitmaker, 51, revelers revelers at the 90s Baby Festival in Manchester this weekend, where Ronan Keating, Eternal, Blue, Five, and A1 were on the bill.
Pete performed his greatest hits to thousands of screaming fans – before his son Junior decided to take over.
Expressing his pride in the 19-year-old budding musician, Pete took to Instagram to share a video.
Filmed from the side of the stage, Pete captured Junior in the element of engaging the audience, jumping about the place when his own tune, Slide, blasted out.
The teenage star looked as cool as you’d imagine, wearing a hoodie and skinny jeans, encouraging the audience to sing along.
‘My son decided to kick dad off the stage and take over the song’, Pete wrote alongside the video, followed by some fire.
In the second clip, he added: ‘Go on son’ and ‘Show em how it’s done’.
Pete then shared a moment from his own gig, proving that he’s healthy and really still got it when he went to Mysterious Girl as the audience screamed and cheered.
‘Good vibes yesterday’, he wrote.
When the video was posted on his feed, Pete was inundated with comments from followers hailing him as ‘amazing’.
‘You are amazing!!! What a moment for the junior who smashed it!!!’, commented ellesmith_89.
‘I was there π₯° it’s amazing. Enjoy your song choice and watch Junior perform π’, stacy_nevaeh added.
He also got the stamp of approval from some of his fellow I’m A Celebrityβ¦ Get Me Out Of Here! icon, with Gillian McKeith commenting: ‘Well, I am. An amazing entertainer. πππππ’
Pete’s life away from the stage may seem wild these days, as he recently became a father again.
The 90s crooner and his wife Emily Macdonagh, 35, welcomed their third child together, Arabella, in April, making Pete a father of five as he also shares Junior and Princess, 17, with ex-wife Katie Price.
Speaking of fatherhood, Pete has since revealed that he has a different bond with his youngest son these days.
Speaking to The Sun, the star said: ‘This time we are sure it will be the last.
‘Well, don’t say never. I’m not 100%, but I love having time to bond with him.’
She added: ‘I haven’t had that opportunity before with anyone because of work, so I’m grateful it happened.’
While the second oldest Princess seems to be following in her mother Katie’s footsteps with her fashion and beauty influence, Junior is also literally a carbon copy of her father as she pursues her own music career.
Junior – who is in a relationship with Jasmine Orr, who previously dated Adam Collard on Celebs Go Dating – kicks things off by releasing his first single in 2022, after signing a deal with Columbia Records in August 2021.
Junior’s debut topped the iTunes charts and he has the full support of his followers.
While he has the full support of his famous father, Pete has expressed concern about his offspring entering showbiz.
Talk to Metro.co.ukThe Aussie star said he worries ‘every day’ about Junior’s foray into the music industry and his daughter venturing into modelling.
‘But he’s very rude,’ she added, with her two eldest children, Junior and Princess at her side. ‘If you talk to him, you’ll know what I mean.’
‘They’re lovely lads, I’m delighted,’ Pete continued. ‘Being a young boy, and he’s respectful and kind and humble. And if they’re like that, I’m not worried.’
Making a quick U-turn, he corrected himself to add: ‘I mean, it’s not true. I’m a father, of course, I worry every minute of every day.’
