The prime minister said he can say with confidence that the people of India have voted in record numbers to re-elect the NDA government.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday expressed confidence that people have voted in record numbers to re-elect the NDA government and said the “opportunistic INDI Alliance” had failed to strike a chord with voters who rejected “regressive politics”.
As polling concluded for the seventh and final phase of the Lok Sabha polls, Modi said the people have seen the record of his government and the way it has worked to bring qualitative change in the lives of the poor, marginalized and downtrodden.
“India has voted! Thank you very much to all those who have exercised their franchise. Their active participation is the foundation of our democracy. Their commitment and dedication ensure that the spirit of democracy flourishes in our country. I also like to pay special respect to Nari Shakti and Yuva Shakti India. Their presence strong in the polls is an encouraging sign,” Modi said in a series of posts on X.

The Prime Minister said that he can say with confidence that the people of India have voted in record numbers to re-elect the NDA government.
“They have seen our track record and the way we work has brought qualitative change in the lives of the poor, marginalized and downtrodden,” Modi said.
At the same time, he has seen how reforms in India have led the country to become the fifth largest global economy, he said.
The prime minister said that every scheme of the government has reached the beneficiaries without any bias or leakage.
Against the opposition coalition, Modi said, “The opportunistic INDI alliance has failed to attack the voters. They are casteist, communal and corrupt. This alliance, aimed at protecting a few dynasties, has failed to provide a futuristic vision for the nation.” Through the campaign, he has only increased his expertise in one thing – Modi bashing. The regressive politics have been rejected by the people,” he added.
He also respected every NDA worker across India.
“I commend him for carefully explaining the development agenda to the people and motivating them to come out and vote. Our karyakartas are our greatest strength,” Modi said.
The prime minister also praised the Election Commission for its “exemplary efforts” in conducting the polls.
“I would like to commend KPU for its exemplary efforts to ensure a smooth and fair election process. Dedication and meticulous planning are essential to maintain the integrity of our democracy, enabling citizens to vote with confidence and security,” Modi said.
“Our election process is something everyone who believes in democratic values takes inspiration from,” he said.
Modi also thanked the security forces for their unwavering vigilance throughout the election.
“We sincerely thank the security forces for their unwavering vigilance throughout the election. Their efforts have ensured a safe and secure environment, so that people can participate in the polling process with ease,” he said.
“Service to the country is highly appreciated by each of us,” Modi added.
In the seventh and final phase, polls were conducted in seven states and the Union Territory of Chandigarh for 57 constituencies, including Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh from where Prime Minister Modi is seeking a third consecutive term in the Lok Sabha.
The election results will be announced on June 4.
