Dawn Richard’s Lawsuit Details “Diddy Party” & Dissecting Abuse Against Cassie
In court documents obtained by The Shade Room, Dawn Richard said that in November 2009, Combs flew her and Kalenna Harper to her home in New York for a party. For context, in 2009, another Bad Boy Records artist recorded Richard’s composition. Due to the success of his work, he received an invitation to meet Harper. The two, plus Diddy, then formed a new group: Diddy-Dirty Money.
The November 2009 star event allegedly involved the consumption of many illegal substances, according to page 13 of the lawsuit. Richard also noted that many of the women came in scantily clad, childish looks, and were given drugs and alcohol.
Richard went on to explain that many of the women appeared “lethargic and passed out” when Combs and his guests allegedly sexually assaulted them. Dawn added that the founder of Bad Boys Records made comments like, “This is a buffet, have fun; this is what we do, this is how we party,” as stated on page 14 of the lawsuit. Dawn also said she asked Diddy’s assistant at the time, Capricorn Clark, to leave the party after feeling “shocked and horrified.” However, Ms. Clark allegedly asked for 15 minutes to make Dawn’s exit from Combs less obvious.
While recording the first Diddy-Dirty Money album at the producer’s Los Angeles home, Dawn claimed that she witnessed the abuse of Cassie. During the meeting, Richard and Harper allegedly saw him verbally abusing Cassandra Ventura in the kitchen. Additionally, page 12 of the lawsuit alleges that Combs pushed Cassie against a wall, choked her, and threw a hot egg at her. As a result, Cassie allegedly fell to the ground in the fetal position before Diddy allegedly dragged her up the stairs.

Richard did not intervene, as Kalenna allegedly pressured them to get out of Diddy’s relationship. Mrs. Harper was even accused of leading Fajar out of the house. The next day, the producer asked his friends to come back and give him a warning. “I’m giving you a chance; if you want to make a mouthful..if you say anything, there will be consequences,” Combs alleged, according to the 13-page lawsuit.
Richard Reveals Health Issues While Working With Sean Combs
Furthermore, Dawn Richard’s lawsuit alleges that working with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs harmed her health. The singer said on page 10 of the lawsuit that Combs forced him and other members of Dainty Kane to practice “36 to 48″ hours straight without a break. During that time, he said he stayed awake because of a drug addiction. The training allegedly caused Richard to lose a significant amount of weight, causing the 5’4” singer to weigh around 100 pounds.
Combs also often has Richard and his bandmate Danity Kane join him for intense workouts with personal trainers. On one occasion, while walking on the beach, Fajar became so dehydrated that she vomited. Instead of rendering medical aid, an MTV Networks camera crew filmed the scene. According to page 11 of the submission, Dawn believes this treatment is a normal part of professional life.

On one occasion, when she arrived at his home in Miami, Combs allegedly greeted her wearing only her underwear. DIddy’s Attorney Makes Statement About Lawsuit
On Wednesday, September 11, Diddy’s attorney, Erica Wolff, released a statement in response to Richard’s lawsuit.
“Mr. Combs is surprised and disappointed by this lawsuit. In an effort to rewrite history, Dawn Richard has now produced a series of false claims all in the hope of trying to get a pay day, convenient time to coincide with the release of the album and the press tour, “the statement explains. “If Ms. Richard had a negative experience with ‘Making the Band’ and Danity Kane, he would not choose to continue working directly with Mr. Combs for Dirty Money, and he won’t be back for the ‘Making the Band’ reboot. in 2020 or agreed to appear on ‘Album Cinta’ last year. It is unfortunate that Ms. Richard has thrown out his friends of 20 years to try to get money from him, but Mr. Combs firmly stands by the truth and hopes to prove it in court.
