Global technology disruption related to software updates by cybersecurity companies CrowdStrike affected almost 8.5 million Microsoft device, Microsoft said in a blog on Friday.
“We currently estimate that the CrowdStrike update affects 8.5 million Windows devices, or less than one percent of all Windows machines,” he said in the blog.
CrowdStrike has helped develop a scalable solution that will help Microsoft’s Azure infrastructure accelerate improvements, Microsoft said, adding that the tech giant has partnered with Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Platform to collaborate on “the most effective approach.”
