I can’t even say it. But I see it as the main blessing. How lucky I am to be the mother of John’s three babies? The last one is a blessing and special, despite this difficult situation.
Madeline Gaudreauthe late Matthew’s wife, is also pregnant with the couple’s first child.
Just a week ago, Meredith and the entire Columbus Blue Jackets community came together to celebrate Johnny with his two children. (Meredith is also mother to 8-month-old son Johnny, whom she shares with her late husband.)
Meredith shared sweet memories from the celebration via Instagram, posting a carousel of pictures after wrapping. “Thank you to all the uncles and aunts of the hockey baby for staying close to this community and including Noa and Johnny in everything. John looks down with pride and I know thank you very much for all of you who take care of me like this,” he captioned the post. “The whole organization. I feel at home when I’m around you all. I can’t thank you enough from the bottom of my heart.
He then turned his attention to Johnny’s beloved fans. “Thank you to all the fans for your love for John. It’s far and wide. I’ve saved every post and I’m holding him tight to show our children,” Meredith said in the post. “Noa asks for “another hockey dad” every night before going to bed. I am very happy and grateful to see many videos of John, listen to his voice in interviews and enjoy his perfect smile in everyone’s posts and awards. I pray that they will not stop. This it means more than I can express.
Meredith concluded the post with words addressed to her late husband, expressing her continued love for him. “Thank you for giving me a hockey family, children and a wonderful life as your husband. You are and will always be everything. I love you so much,” he wrote. “The best dad. The best husband. You set high standards (in hockey and at home) and we all strive to be like you every day. Thank you for that. I love you forever Reggies.”
