1:25 p.m. PT — Kittynephew – Karen VanderMolen — said he all the time believed Erik and Lyle’s story … feeling that one thing was mistaken from the rising family. He provided that if Erik and Lyle had girls, they would get shorter sentences.
13:21 PT — Brian A. Andersen Jr. — Kitty‘s nephew – he said he recognized Menendez bros full life … he said he did not think his brother was the villains the media had seen.
If the trial had been held when we speak – he said – the alleged sexual abuse was handled would not be dismissed out of hand, and the trial would have been done a lot otherwise. Brian said that when Erik and Lyle were released, he would welcome them home with a big hug and a place to sleep.
1:17 p.m. PT — Joan Andersen VanderMolen — Kitty Menendez’s 92-year-old sister — said it took a few years for her to return to the phrases together with her brother Murder … However, the alleged abuse suffered by the Menendez Brothers has changed her view.
Joan says Erik and Lyle have been let down by the people they were supposed to be looking after – along with Kitty. He said the world wasn’t ready to just accept that boys might be sexually assaulted in the Nineties – now, the world knows it wasn’t, and that sentence needs to be changed.
13:12 PT — Jose Menendezniece, Anamaria Baralthas learned the announcement from his mother – Jose’s sister – said he will not be able to make it because of the challenge as well as his … However, he is throwing his help behind Erik and Lyle and asked to open the brothers. He wanted to hug them at least as long as they lived, he said in the letter.
13:07 PT — Mark Geragos have talked about Roy Rossello‘s Erik’s testimony and letter to his brother Andy in addition to Menendezs work behind bars for rehabilitation … said they hope for the DA to resentence the brothers.
The families of Erik and Lyle Menendez are pushing for their release from jail, holding a press conference outside a Los Angeles courthouse … and TMZ is streaming it.
Rosie O’Donnell scheduled to talk for help from the Menendez brothers … and almost two dozen family members have traveled from around the country to strain the LA County District Attorney. George Gascon to give official advice to fight the notorious killer.
Erik and Lyle’s defense attorney, Mark Geragos, may also comment … and Menendez’s three brothers, as well as an aunt, will also grab the microphone.
Among the many new pieces of evidence, the household anticipated to debate, was a letter written by Erik a few months before the brothers killed his father and mother … his father’s hand, Jose Menendez.
Andy’s mother reportedly found Erik’s letter about 9 years ago … and through the Menendez brothers’ trial, Andy testified that Erik had told her about his father’s alleged abuse when he was just 13 years old. Andy died in 2003, so he will not be attending the press convention.
As reported, earlier this month DA Gascón introduced his workplace re-evaluate the evidence in the case of Menendez … and the district attorney said that he had heard about different claims of abuse in the opposition of Jose, made by a member of the band Menudo Roy Rosselló.
Erik and Lyle have been in prison since 1990 … he testified about being abused by his father during the first trial, which led to a hung jury – but the decision was made not to testify during the retrial – and so he received a life sentence. without the potential for parole.
It will certainly be interesting to see what the household has to say here…they clearly hope this new evidence will overturn Erik and Lyle’s sentences.
